Popped in around 9.30pm in 10 people and they allowed us to eat even if it was quite late. Good service and good food! I will return if I have a chance in the future!

Staying regularly here en route to the south of Europe. A repeat guest, they gave me a nice upgraded room with lake view. The rooms are nice, large and well kept. Beds are good and bedlinen nice. Bathroom has all amenities. As everything in Switzerland, the rooms ar seldom very modern but the are comfortable. Staff is very friendly and professional. Dinner is good but pricey for what is served. Breakfast is good. Wifi and parking free. A small bottle of home made apple-juice for the road is a very nice touch. Highly recommended.

We found the last table on the terrace on a balmy summer's evening. Menu in English, food very good but the service was slow probably because they were so busy. It is not cheap but this is Swtizerland.

Right on the lake, this restaurant is one of the better restaurants I've experienced. We arrived without a reservation and got a seat outside even though the outside seating area of the restaurant was quite full. Our waitress admitted that her English wasn't great, so I asked her if she spoke French and she did, so we did. Later, we heard one waitress who spoke English quite well.We ordered a nice premier cru from the Beaune are of France and it was most excellent. After that we ordered a four course chef's surprise that must be ordered by at least two people a the table, which included: - Bread and flavoured butters with two thin slices of beef - warm bread, flavourful butter1 - A red vegetable soup with beetroot as a base and a panko-crusted thing - AMAZING soup! The panko thing was pretty good too.2 - Some vegetables and some beef formed into a round disc - a taste sensation - lemon sorbet with nuts (?) (not numbered because our waitress said they serve this with practically every meal) - fantastic3 - Steak with seasonal vegetables - tender and beautiful with a very unique sauce4 - Three desserts! A ball of gelato (?), a souffle-like mini chocolate cake, chocolate mousse - a great finish. The chocolate mini cake was warm and incredibly good. This was a great dining experience and I would highly recommend it. It's not cheap - our meal was 240 CHF but it was a unique, delicious gourmet meal. Our waitress was nice too.The outside seating is right on the lake. We even had entertainment when we saw a guy coming in on a rowboat right beside the restaurant and her overturned the boat. The bathrooms are kinda funny, with foot pedals to make the water come from the taps.

We were staying at the hotel and really pleased to have dined here as well. Beautiful evening on the outdoor terrace at lakeside level, watching the sunset over the mountains. Finely prepared dishes. The waitress happily steered us towards a local wine, and gave us an alternative to sample. Lovely!

The first impression when you get to the restaurant is the beautiful lake view. When you add to that a great prosseco as the opening drink and the menu of the month decided by the chef you are set for a wonderful night.

Good food with a reasonable price tag. Get some typical Swiss food. The restaurant is known for a excellent breakfast.

We have eaten twice in this restaurant during our stay in the magnificent Seehotel Sternen. The whole experience was positive and we ate on first evening in the restaurant and on second evening in the nearby "stube", but both places have the same kitchen and chefs. Ambiance and decoration were very nice with the personal touch of the owners on evidence. We had typical Swiss food both times. A nice simple welcome was nicely offered. Rotzungen main course was definetely better than the Schweins Cordon Bleu, which was a bit hard and not very well refined. Good selection of local cheeses and average icecream. In stube very tasty Bauernbratwurst combined with an excellent local beer and very good Wurst kase salad. Wine list offers a wide choice but with huge charges even for simple, modest French or Italian wines: this respect the Swiss long tradition of expensive country for dining. All in all a positive experience, but not a memorble one.
