I've visited this marvelous Bar approximately 1000 times in the last 8 years and finally decided to rate this place because they totally deserve it. The Galway Bay is a great and authentic Irish Pub in the heart of Innsbruck. They have a very good selection of domestic and foreign beers at fair prices. The staff is amazing and the events they offer are fabulous and exciting. Beside the legendary Pub Quiz (Every monday - i recommend it) and open mic nights they also show sports events live on TV. Everyone gets their money's worth!If you search for a comfortable place to enjoy some drinks you definitely have to go there.
Great find in the middle of Innsbruck if you're wanting to watch the football! Staff are friendly and the beer is good.
This was next door to our hotel the Swarzer Adler an it was nice to just enjoy music and food without translating or wondering wht we were ordering!
As I was staying next door in the nice, old Schwarzer Adler Hotel, I walked out the hotel door after dinner to stretch my legs and what do I see but an Irish pub next door. And no less shocking than that was to watch English soccer inside with the audio broadcast in German.And all I thought I’d come to the Tirol from San Francisco, California to experience was the Alpen skiing in Soelden 90 kilometers away.So, as I was the only American in the pub and the only one who didn’t speak much German, I made friends at the bar and with the bartender as best I could, had a nice cold stein of Austrian lager, walked around the small pub reading the posters in German to brush up a bit on my very limited German, and watch English soccer in German for a hour. Try it some time. You’ll never forget it. You might even get lucky.
We visited the Galway Bay Irish bar last week. Extremely clean and welcoming. Great selection of local Austrian/German beers and of course very good pints of Guinness. Great selection of bar food and snacks, great atmosphere so it's easy to spend a night there. Friendly and professional staff. We will be back!
Nice Irish pub and atmosphere, I've been there often, pub quiz and open mic is nice for students, but its really a pitty that there is never IRISH live music. aren't there any Irish musicians in Innsbruck? At least once a year on St. Patrick's day it should be possible to organise that or not? I love Ireland and would love to have a more authentic Irish pub in my hometown, but maybe thats the most authentic it can get outside of Ireland, dont know.
it´s very agreable and nice for groups, the beers they have here (not just Guinness, but also good Bavarian ones) are amazing!
I had to ask home in Australia if I had to check it. Genuine Irish pub, great atmosphere, sports always up, great trivia on monday nights. Very recommended
