A truly wonderful restaurant. We highly recommend the home-made noodles and the einerschnitzle. We had a table in the lovely garden with candlelight, great food and attentive service.
We spent one night at the Park Villa Hotel. What a treat it was to stay the night in this beautiful old villa. This hotel has a boutique feel to it. Breakfast was excellent and the staff are very attentive. Just a short walk down the street and across a pedestrian bridge and you are in the center of town. A nice feature was the washclothes provided in the bathroom, it is rare to find these in Europe. The service and friendliness of the staff was above and beyond what we usually encounter in Switzerland.
We were welcomed friendly and proceeded to have a tasty dinner with a small group of people. Tables offer sufficient space in this old-style restaurant. The waiter did speak at least 3 languages which comes in handy for foreigners
Being located at this hotel for two nights, we decided to dine the first evening in the nice patio under our room. Attentive and accurate Swiss service; good menu and excellent wine list (expensive, of course.) Great for a romantic rest.
We booked a night at Park Villa for the first night of our Switzerland vacation. We arrived in the dark, but had no problem finding it. We had a warm reception, and were so thrilled to see our corner room. It was enormous, with a balcony and a huge bathroom. After a very nice meal in he restaurant, and a long soak in the tub to wash away the miles, the bed was a welcome sight and we slept in peace and quiet. The trains started running early the next morning as it was a weekday - but it was not an issue. In the day light we were able to enjoy our view of the river and our window overlooking the hotel's beautiful courtyard. The weather wasn't the best, but we walked from the hotel to the shops, and even up to the Munot fortress. We will definitely be back to this quaint and romantic place, and we will again stay at Park Villa.
There is a wide choice of where you eat: various places outside surrounding the hotel or inside in the charming and character packed. The menu is comprehensive and varied and service is prompt and competent. Food tasted very good and all in all the best restaurant in schaffhausen at the moment
Charming, in a quiet place, room looks a little old but it is clean and the food is very good , the location is good too , walking 30 min to the rhinfalls. Breakfest was greta and restaurant is very well too
As guests, we dined in, and were impressed with the ornate-ness of this hotel, which provided for a wonderful atmosphere. The service was very good, as was the food and extensive wine selection.
