Bus from Zell am See via Kaprun to the Dams. The trip up the platform is a wonderful engineering feet and the views are superb. You can walk all the way across the dams to the glacier and onto the snow. Have a coffee and cake at the cafe and enjoy the views
On our way up and down from the Kaprun dams we went on this highly unusal mode of travelling. It was practical, swift and offered wonderful views of the surrounding valley. A true experience.
I took a small group of people that were on our tour from Riviera Travel, it was our last day in Austria and we were flying home that day, wow what away to spend your last day, caught the 660 bus near our hotel, then a shuttle, then an elevator, spectacular views with lots to see, a nice mixture of nature and technology, open from end of May til mid October, 8.10am - 4.45pm. The pictures I took with my iPad say it all, nice places to eat too
This is one of the best tourist spot, in Austria, Its breathtaking scenery is really awesome. One can enjoy this spot with friends or family.
As my big kids are always hungry we try this (fast food) restaurant for lunch. If I dismiss the unforgettable surrounding the food was so-so. Not bad I found maybe the only one non fried meal “Flammkuchen rustic” which was nice. I waited minutes...for it standing in front of the food area. It was crazy. With the time we were waiting peop. someone took food which was not his the other screams at him, than there was food nobody wanted.... After all this I wasn’t hungry anymore. Of course my family was outside longly ready and kids started to be bored... But we were lucky for Austrian choir singing while I was eating
