Slightly snotty staff was offset by excellent starter and main course (filet steak), but inordinate wait for mediocre dessert dropped it from a very good. Went back for pizza another night. Same again excellent food.
„Steakeria“ ist ein fantasievoll gestaltetes Restaurant, das mit Vintage-Fundstücken dekoriert ist. Dadurch entsteht eine tolle Atmosphäre. Allerdings ist an diesem Ort auch eine andere Atmosphäre, nämlich die Luft zum Atmen, schlecht. Unglaublich, in diesem Ein-Raum-Restaurant ist das Rauchen noch erlaubt! Sogar der Oberkellner raucht hier öffentlich. Tatsächlich scheint „Steakeria“ zwischen Bar und Restaurant zu schwanken. Ein weiteres Identitätsproblem betrifft die Art der Küche, die an diesem Ort praktiziert wird. Im Gegensatz zum Namen spielen Pizza und italienische Nudelgerichte eine wichtigere Rolle auf der Speisekarte als Steaks, während die restlichen Hauptgerichte einige Fischgerichte und Salate umfassen. Der Service durch einen freundlichen und humorvollen Kellner war schnell und wir mussten nicht Auch wir mussten lange auf unser Essen warten, obwohl das Restaurant voll war. Die gegrillten Calamari, die wir hatten, waren einwandfrei und die Pizza war auch ziemlich gut. Wir schätzten das gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, da die Preise für Speisen und Getränke für ein Innenstadtrestaurant niedrig waren und die Portionen eine angemessene Größe hatten.
Der Ort hat eine romantische Atmosphäre und gutes Essen – ich habe Steak und Salat gegessen und kann es empfehlen. Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich. Preise sind ok.
Was on a business trip, working in the Holzmesse (2016-09-03). Was with a US colleague, searching for a restaurant on Saturday night and found this place. Lots of people so we decided this must be an OK place. Staff were busy so nobody did receive us or show us to a table. We saw a free table so we sat down. After a long wait the waiter "Roland" (according to the bill) came up and took our order for drinks. He also said that they had no menu in English and spoke only German to us. Said food would be a minimum one hour wait, starters 30 minutes. We accepted this and ordered. At the table behind us, a group of four arrives, ordered and got their food before us...It didn't take an hour but say 45 minutes even so people were dropping off. In the mean time, a very nice waitress recommended and served us a bottle of wine. Even brought a sip to taste it, great. It was good service so she saved the evening somehow. After this long wait for food whilst seeing others get served before we got ready to leave and then Roland informed us that "service is not included"...in English. Asking for tips after ignoring us basically. As a summary; nice place, nice atmosphere and relatively good food, one nice waitress at least, but the other waiters should go find something else to do in my opinion. We were the only people ignored so I can't really see what we had done wrong and nobody informed us, hence the low score.
I had the pork ribs, delicious and a generous serving for the price. With salad and a giant potato and sour cream. The local Pilsener beer was tasty and cold.
It is the perfect location in Klagenfurt with a very romantic terrace. We ate pizza, which was very fast done and delicious. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.
Went for a dinner last Friday while on business trip and was looking for a different restaurant in the area but couldn't find it so ended up in Steakeria which turned out to be a pleasant surprise.It's a fairly small place but intimate enough. My colleagues ordered pork ribs, nicely presented and huge portions, you could easily feed two persons with one portion. I opted for Italian steak, two thinner steaks in Mediterranean herbs, soft and juicy and very tasty.Would definitely recommend this place.
At first glance the place did not look like much from the outside, but inside it offers a decent and nice atmosphere with delicious food. The french onion soup was great, as was the spagetthi casa.
