The burger what you can eat here is way more delicious than you can get at McDonalds or Burger King. If you taste it, you don't want to eat burger at any fast food restaurant. A burger costs €8-15. You can drink an American Bud for €3,60.
Best Steak I had there yesterday! Well done - Nice staff...can't think of a better way to get sports and Great food from a friendly staff - home run, Frankie, the Sinatra of all Sports Bars????????????????????
The food good. But I expected for a Burger house the question: How the burger should be done?. It was too well done (so dry :(). And I was disappoined regarding this. Next time I will remember to ask if they can do it medium.
Ok...I thought I'd give Frankies another try.I was greated immediately upon entering...good start. They weren't very so I took a table by the big screen TV. And then.....after about 10 minutes I looked around to see if I could get some service. No one seemed to notice that I was sitting with nothing to drink or eat even though I was nearly in the center of the room seen by every waiter and waitress that came out of the kitchen. Not good.I didn't want anything heavy so I thought I'd try a salad. The description for the Ceasar Salad sounded interesting. It was served quickly. ...but very unimpressive. The fried chicken strips were some processed chicken patties cut into strips. And to my surprise the bottom of the bowl was swimming in sauce. I thought someone mixed up my order with soup. For those if you that know...it is the lightly coated lettuce that makes or breaks this salad. Between the low quality chicken and soup/salad I can't say this visit was better than the first. I again informed the staff....but they weren't really interested. Strike Two!
What a pleasant suprise this visit was - they really serve their burgers with homemade buns and their baker is on site in the kitchen. One can really taste the difference to others.Generally, the ambiance is a bit dark and too male orientated. It will offer al fresco dining, but the location is not really suitable for that and it remains to see, how they will handle this once summer starts.We enjoyed great foodAttached are 2 official photos from their opening press conference
I really like this Bar ... Cool style, good food, chilling atmosphere ... I can fully recommend to go there ...
First impressions of Frankies in Klagenfurt.As an American with over 45 years of burger tasting experience (not McDonalds) and living in Klagenfurt, I decided to stop by today to try out a burger. They claim the Best Burgers in Town....Frankie's has a nice "Sports Bar" layout and atmosphere... if you like sports there's a nice variety of games to watch on large TVs. The staff was friendly and attentive, took my order quickly and received my order quickly....unfortunately I can't say I was impressed with the burger though. Especially, not for a burger for 11,50€. The presentation was good, the bun was great, fresh lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese onions and pickle....but waaaay too much "special sauce-a.k.a. Spicy Dip" and the burger fell apart while eating it. The fries weren't much better - just cooked...not crispy on the outside. When I finished I was asked by the staff "how was it?", I told her average. Considering this is a brand new restaurant, I thought I might get a visit from the manager, but no. I won't give up on the place...they have other things on their menu that I would like to try...and they have a great beer selection including Hirter Bier. Maybe...it's their first week and things will get better.
