Here you can stay for a few hours and enjoy the somewhat limited menu - but all was very tasty. A little bit a music in the background for a birthday party was actually very entertaining. The outdoor seating is lovely too on a summers night.
I visited Grinzing with my family and wevwanted to eat lunch there. We choose the restaurant after reading some reviews and i must say it was a good choice.Rudolfshof is a typical austrian tavern (heuriger) where you can eat domestic meals. The service was very good and the prices are not so high. I understand that in the evening they have also live music. Clearly i reccomend this restaurant!!!
We went to visit some people at the Grinzing Cemetery. My family have been going there for over 40 years and this was my first visit. It was Christmas Eve and the kitchen had closed and we went for snacks and hot and cold drinks.I was pleasantly surprised that they had kept the place open for us and we had toasted sandwiches, cakes, Coffee. tea, wine Sekt just to name a few things.We spent a comfortable couple hours there and the Lady that served us was helpful and did us proud.It is a Heuriger this is where they serve the new wines and they also have hot and cold food as a rule.In Vienna everything closes on Christmas Eve between 1 and 2 only the transport stays open the usual times.I am going to go there the next time when I come back to Vienna in the spring to enjoy a pleasant evening in the open air.
A short ride in the street car with easy transfer & you are in Grinzing. Great small village away from the hassle of the big city of Vienna. This was a repeat visit for me!!! Still as I remembered it
Unlike the first Heurige we tried, this place had atmosphere, live Viennese music and cheap and cheerful food and wine. Loved it.
More or less all Heurigers in Grinzing are tourist traps so these Is one of them. Live music means they play for 10€ a song or they go somwhere else. Wienerschnitzel - pork one was ok,but nothing to remember. Blonde waiter unfriendly and ignorant. All in all just average experience, not worth of visiting.
Always a good sign when locals frequent a place. Sadly so full we couldn't get into main room where musicians were but could still hear it. Friendly Fraeulein and typical Austrian rustic food. In September try the tangy sweet Sturm, first grape pressing. Highly recommended. Short walk or 3 tram stops from Franz Josef hotel.
Nice atmosphere, nice staff, ok food. Worth a visit, but if you visit one heuriger in Grinzging, you better chose Maly's or Zum Berger Heurigenschank.
