this old gasthof in seckau was brought to the most modern standard without destroying the old ambiente. the rooms have a very special flair. especially recommended. the location is right next to the sift eckau.
the restaurant is very beautiful! but who wants grounded kitchen with normal selection of meals is wrong here. the selection is an nightmare. each normal farm has a 90% more choice than the farmer - very disappointing.
we sat under the chestnut trees in the gastronomic garden and it was very nice. Despite the great heat (30°C) we were able to dine pleasantly.Leider was the staff very inattentive. after the 1st floor, of course, we left this cute on the teller and so this cute was removed. when the lead came, we had to urinate this cute several times. also the empty water carafes were ignored several times. the seasaibling with gnocchi from sweet potatoes was very good, only the gnocchi were so hard that they had to be sliced with the knife.
The hotel alone is a must to see. The guestrooms are stunning with lots of history behind. The restaurant ambiance is qhat I was looking for in such a historical place with great food and super service. Well done.
we had been happy to visit the farmer, pre-ordered. contact to the reservation very friendly. beautiful ambiente, personal (no) with professional ease. the feeds are unfortunately behind our expectations, a pity. all subjectiv. Nevertheless, I would recommend the farmer for a visit.
next to the pen / abbey seckau we visited, is the baroque building with the historical (since 1603) gasthaus hofwirt. very good service, small but fine lunch card with delicacies from the region. we felt all the foods (Hirsch-Burger with handmade pommes, pork fillet with speck beans and Petersil potatoes) very tasty and especially very freshly prepared. Price-performance level very well tuned. the ambiente in the old-honored dining room was pleasant and cozy. a further gas storage space was obtained as before approx. 100 years incl. the floor and of course gives an even more intense historical impression.
