We have been travelling to Alpbach at least once a year for the last couple of years, but up until this summer we had never paid a visit to the restaurant at Alpbacherhof. If we hadn't missed to read the other reviews on Tripadvisor, we would have saved us ten boring minutes standing ignored in the middle of a restaurant (to be honest, one of the waiters said something that may have been a greeting, but then continued to actively ignore us.) The waiters only seemed to pay attention to the guests staying at the hotel. After getting tired of waiving at people who don't seem to want your presence we went over to Restaurant Berghof where they truly welcome you as a guest.
We only have a coffee on your terrace. friendly staff. almost all were hotel guests. wonderful views.
We came here for dinner and decided to treat ourselves. Very traditional, posh place with an upmarket atmosphere. Still we decided to splash out.The food was very good and the service impeccable (thank you Torsten.) For dessert tried the local delicacy on recommendation - cinnamon covered asparagus. Did not work for us, but nice to try something a bit different now and then. Overall enjoyed the experience, albeit on the expensive side.
were here for the second time.A beautifully located hotel with tolerable views.Here you have many possibilities to make the free,- holiday time.Many hiking opportunities for young and old, summer and winter.The hotel is well run. very friendly, accommodating staff.The wellness area is full enough.Always happy again.

We have been here a week now and leave today, it's been a good week rooms a large modern flat screen TVs open fire artificial, loads of closet space modern bathrooms, views are very good on all sides of the hotel with private balcony, the swimming pool and spa is modern and very good, tea coffee water fountains available at no extra cost, the pool you swim inside to outside also out side authentic sauna, the food is 5 star and the staff are so nice and helpful.The only down side is they allow smoking in the bar that you can still smell in the sitting room and dinning room area, Please get with the times second hand smoke is a killer that's why I give this hotel Four stars instead of five.
Great restaurant in the hotel. The hotel looks very family oriented with a fantastic SPA. The restaurant is great. Try the black pudding with potatoes or the schnitzel. Good, although a big slow service
We visited here to use the day spa. The outdoor pool was really special. Also the sauna (separate building, could easily miss it) beautiful views up to the snow capped Alps through the windows in the sauna. The relaxation room is truly amazing, big windows with views out to the mountains, the swing beds were my favourite.
