This is a real piece of simplicity. We were welcomed in a friendly and nice manner and the owner was so kind with us and kids. The dishes are absolutely good and fresh. The overall quality of this place worth the visit. I would suggest the classic but well done Wiener shnitzel and a fabulous calamari with a delicate mousse.
We had intended to visit another restaurant nearby but on arrival found it to be closed. We had noticed an advertising board on our way saying that Soleo were open so cycled back there. We had a table on the sun terrace with a view of the lake and their lovely garden. The staff were very attentive, polite, efficient and friendly. My husband had calamari on polenta with olives, capers and cherry tomatoes and I had wienerschitzel and potatoes with cranberry sauce. The food was beautifully presented and delicious and we had a perfect sunday lunch. Inside were more tables with a log fire burning and there were special evenings advertised which all looked great. We were glad our first restaurant was closed as this is now our first choice in Krumpendorf. Thank you all for a lovely meal - we will be back.
Very good dinner and breakfast at a goid price. Very nice atmosphere and helpfull staff. Beer was good and cold.
It does not happen every day that one discovers a hidden gem like this! Hidden? No, it is not hidden at all. It is directly at the main road from Klagenfurt to Velden (and therefore please don’t be surprised if it can be a bit noisy at times).Why do I say hidden? Because neither me, living in Klagenfurt, nor my friends knew about the transition of an old fashioned restaurant into a very special place. The menu is wonderfully brief and the wine list is expertly composed. Yes, the food is GREAT and I like to send my compliments to the Chef. But the main thing is the service – the owner, Ms Maria Frank made our evening a special event! Her excellent staff hardly had a chance serving us because she was omnipresent – without being the fraction of a second too long at our table when we were in intense conversation.This place is the right place for you if you look for excellent cuisine around the Wörthersee but without all the tourists!And if you like to sample Austrian wines: peals ask Maria – it is amazing what she will offer by the glass at reasonable prices!
We've stayed in the hotel (very good) and dinner one night. Superb cuisine, good wines and nice ambience.
Soleo is a very nice restaurant, based on local cuisine but on a very high level. Nice combinations, very well prepared, excellent wines (leave the choice to the owner, you will not be disappointed) at very decent prices.Whether outside on the terrace or inside, a nice place to enjoy a great meal!
Was für ein wunderbarer Fonds Soleo war. Das Essen war wirklich großartig, wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Die weinende Empfehlung für die Ente war vor Ort. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen
Ich kam nachts an und hatte ein Zimmer in ihrem Hotel. Das Hotel ist einfach sehr sauber, aber nichts Einfallsreiches, daher war ich von der Qualität des Essens sehr beeindruckt! Absolut ein tolles Restaurant mit romantischer, entspannter Atmosphäre, ideal für einen schönen Abend direkt am Meer. Es gibt sogar frische Trüffelgerichte. In der Nacht, als ich dort war, gab es Pasta mit frischem Schwarzteig. Ich hatte ein schönes Abendessen und bin sicher wieder im Frühstücksraum. Gut gemacht und herzlichen Glückwunsch, ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
