we went to grill on Sunday afternoon to eat with the family. we were a party of people, of whom children. first positive note: special child menu and a paintbook for anyone who was a beautiful geste. second positive...Note: the building (château d’ouchy) is beautiful and the restaurant is very nice with a beautiful view of the lake. the menu itself is extremely expensive. rindfleischfilet was almost Swiss franc, a plate of gambas was over fifty. the starters were about francs in the average, the burger is and the bbq spare ribs are even worse the drinks: a glass wein averages at francs, and bottle beers are at least francs, until this is the price of beers everywhere else! I am Swiss and find these prices totally exaggerated. but then for this price, would you ask yourself if the food is amazing and the service incredible? that's not it. it is average what you could find in most restaurants in the city. eating itself is good, but it is absolutely not worth the price they pay for it. all in all, a great restaurant with average dining with average service for a premium price. I felt like I spent too much money on something I would have eaten at a fair price on many other places. we tried, and we won't come back.

Because it is a grill and we are reluctant carnivores, we were pleased to discover that the escapes were an eclectic mixture and not their standard tariff at all. we both had two precursors of thon and bisques crevasses and top brands to both. the bisque was delicate and full of taste. the ceviche was not typical Peruvian style with all seasoned, but European version, but excellent but the crescendo was the chocolate soap with glitter vanilla bourbon light, but fluffy and damp perfect it requires a certain chef to get this light and it is a sign of a very good restaurant
this restaurant is located within a star hotel and has a GREAT high-end grill menu. service is good and we had a nice evening. steak, reserve ribs, Swiss chicken and a perfect cheeseburger.
The restaurant is a lovely environment and the staff friendly until you complain, The food at best is average and at worst poor starter of fish cakes we on the dry side bland the lamb was so undercooked it could be described as carpaccio...i should of sent it back however I swopped it with my husband who doesn’t mind raw meat him giving me some of his steak. With the hotel and the restaurant as a setting and the menu prices we did expect something much much better There were no check back from the staff during our meal only when we had finished when we said the lamb was raw the restaurant manager said he would have a word with the kitchen but he never came back and the friendliness of the staff changed dramatically. As guests staying at the hotel I did expect some feedback from the kitchen as there wasn’t many dinners so the kitchen wasn’t pushed . Our stay was from September to September room I hope breakfast tomorrow morning th September goes well as this morning service was very inattentive along with a few annoying points I was ask by waitress if I would like another coffee which didn’t arrive so I ask another waitress which then took another ten minutes so twenty minutes for a coffee at breakfast. At which time the original waitress appeared with my coffee saying how sorry she was. The waiting staff spend a lot of time changing tables from breakfast service to lunch service may be some time attending to the guest that are paying eating breakfast.
This restaurant is in the Château d'Ouchy and replaces the previous one that was there. It is a grill focusing on meats but also with a good selection of local fish dishes. We have been there twice recently, once for dinner and then for lunch...on a weekend. The food was better on the second occasion as the service in the evening was slow and the food was no longer hot on arrival (more staff needed in evening). I had a delicious filet de perche that came out of Lake Geneva (fairly rare to find) and my wife had a tasty burger. The service that day was excellent. The evening meal was good though it took us over two hours to get served two courses and we had to ask several times for more beverages. Our guests enjoyed the food and vowed (like us) to return.
We had a fantastic dinner with friends at the relatively new restaurant located in Hotel Chateau D Ouchy right on the lake. The design and atmosphere of the restaurant is stunning and quite modern but warm. Great open kitchen and view of the bbq grill.... You can also eat at a nice bar around the kitchen. Other tables have lake view. Great terrace also weather permitting. We ordered a lot from the menus and all was amazing. The t bone and tomahawk were delicious. Great wine selection. Very friendly and attentive service . Definitely a great addition to the restaurant scene of Lausanne and we look forward to returning.
In the Hotel Château d'Ouchy which is the sister hotel to the Beau Rivage Palace is the Degree Grill. Wide ranging menu which included an excellent Swiss Franc cheeseburger. What can I say? I love to get a burger every once in a...while...avec frites of course. Great friendly service, food and setting. I would suggest making a reservation.
