maybe it was not qoute the right time to go there after a Long time again, shortly bevor Christmas there were a lot of Christmas-Company Partys there, and as a Group of three we were not realy important. The site-Reservation was realy no Problem, you can place it over Internet. once there, they seated uns in an extra-room in the first floor, was quite cold, only 19 Grad Celcius, for a nice staying by the time way to cool. Drinks and ordering was average for so many Costumers there , we had Beuschl, Chicken salad and Zwiebelrostbraten , None was a Highlight. All in all if you cant find any other Restaurant, and have not to big expectations , it´s ok. I can remember a few summers ago I was there , we sat in the Garden, was much better..
They say spare ribs are as tasy as the salad that goes with 'em.. agree or not, you should try this place. We had a very good meal in the courtyard, tasty food (we had the ribs and the burger) and very good beer. Not easily accesible by public transport, you can reach it from Floridsdorf Bahnhof (U6) and then tram 31 but it will guaratee a genuine austrian culinary experience. House beer is very tasty, atmosphere is enjoyable and overall I think it's good value for money.
The menu is huge so you need time to go through it all. The atmosphere is very casual with wooden tables and ornaments surrounding you. The waiters are dressed in traditional gear which puts a nice touch to the whole place. The food was very good, very tasty and large portions. Service was very friendly and quick. Its not in the centre so you need a taxi, tram to get there but its worth it, its always busy as locals go.
Dont understand how this restaurant gets such good reviews. The only attraction is the biiig portions....the quality is just average. Nothing to rave about. The prices are moderate and service is ok. We went there on a wednesday when Backhendl...fried, breaded chicken...and İ must say that both the crust and the chicken was not the best. Crust too thick and very oily and chicken without any taste but with yellowish fat pieces! This restaurant wont see me again.

Unikat ist Vergangenheit, kein wirklicher Verlust. Ab Mitte Juni heißt es nun "Jedlersdofer Alm". Ein Ableger von der Lepoldauer Alm. Dies lässt hoffen, dass die Qualität und der Service sich verbessern.
Der Titel sagt eigentlich alles. Von Anfang bis ende hats nicht gepaßt. 1.5 Stunden Wartezeit aufs Essen, das Lokal war praktisch leer am einem Sonntag, Essen selbst war eigentlich dann okay, Bedienung eine Zumutung, Getränke wurden bestellt und nicht gebracht, uswEin No GO!
2. Versuch, um an diesem Lokal gefallen zu finden. Wieder enttäuscht. Obwohl nur wenige Gäste anwesend waren, war das Lokal vollkommen verraucht und stickig. Auf unsere Frage, ob es auch einen Nichtraucherbereich gäbe, wurden wir mit einem Wink und dem Satz "nur noch oben" nach oben verwiesen. Der an und für sich schöne Raum im Obergeschoß mit vielen Tischen scheint nur noch als Abstelllager verwendet zu werden (Kabelgewirr, Geschirr, Warmhaltevorrichtungen, ... am Boden). Die Bedienung erfolgt nur zögerlich und unfreundlich. Bei der Bestellung von 3 Getränken wird auf eines vergessen, wird aber 20 min. nachgebracht. Die Getränke schmecken schal und abgestanden, das Essen nur sehr mäßig. Restaurant ist absolut NICHT zu empfehlen!
