We logeerden hier niet, maar iedere dag na het snowboarden/ skiën kwamen we naar hier voor de zelfgemaakte aromatische rum met ananas, een verrukkelijke Mojito of een andere coctail. Deze nieuwe bar met mooi terras en schapenvellen op de houten banken ligt vlak aan het dalstation van Leysin, net naast de eitjes lift van Berneuse. Naargelang het weer kan het terras open of gesloten worden. De bediening was er uiterst professioneel en zeer vriendelijk. De muziek is lounge en niet overheersend. Kortom, de ideale plaats om na het skiën te verpozen.
Great mountain food, terrific grilled burgers...crispy fries, crunchy, fresh salad. Perfect after a morning skiing. The service was really, really nice. Typically, service in Swiss restaurants is dry compared to that , say in New York City...At Bel Air, there is always a smile, very attentive service...even if they are busy! Nice veranda for this terrasse restaurant. The choice of food is nice: hamburgers with delicious fries, salads, Rösti, fondue. Homemade genuine fresh food. Fondue for 1 person if wanted. The staff is nice but a bit lay back, you have to ask for everything they don’t come spontaneously to you. Great location right next to the télécabines and beautiful view.
We visited Leysin and stopped here for a beer before lunch at the top of the mountain. Great atmosphere! Skiers in and out. Our Barman provided great entertaining and managed pretty well with English! The views from here just great!
I just visited this beautiful restaurant and had fondue for one.. it was incredible as was the service. Local customers welcomed me and bought me wine! Love This place! Love Leysin! Love the Swiss!!
Food looked amazing but let down by poor service and the most expensive fondue. They don’t sell fondue per person so 2 have to share for 50 chf. Very disappointed.
Immediately adjacent to the cable car station is the Bel Air, a hotel with a pleasant terrace, providing views over Leysin, the mountains and valley. Ask for chope de biere ; to be rewarded with a half litre of beer (6 Swiss francs), in a proper sized glass! No more the need to drink dainty small beers, that arrive in bottles.
