My husband and I visited Asado's for a valentine's day meal, that I had booked way in advance. The booking was confirmed by email and I was told we would have the table for 2 hours from 6:30-8:30pm. We were a little late arriving to the restaurant (approx.10 minutes) as we were reliant on the local bus service to get us there. When we arrived, we were told that as we were late (in a rather abrupt manner), our table had been given away to someone else. This was very frustrating and upsetting seeing as I had booked this table weeks in advance and been told that the booking was for 2 hours...We were told we could sit up at the bar and eat. This wasn't particularly comfortable, but seeing as we had traveled to the other end of town to come here and it was valentine's day, we thought we better stay otherwise we may not find anywhere else to eat...Once seated, we were served by a rather eccentric barman, who kept 'sampling' the wines he was serving other customers. By the end of our meal, it was safe to say he was under the influence somewhat! The food however was of a high standard and very tasty; the steaks were cooked well and accompaniments were also very nice. We considered staying for dessert but the restaurant had become incredibly busy and we felt somewhat 'hemmed in' at the bar, with people hovering around waiting for our seats, so we decided to ask for the bill. It took a good 10-15 minutes for the barman to get back to us so we could pay and he sneakily added another 10euro onto the bill for no reason....Overall, our experience at Asado's was disappointing. The food was good, albeit expensive, but that was about it unfortunately.
