We were staying at Hotel de la Paix and had intended eating out for dinner. A flash thunderstorm kept us at the restaurant (a traditional Italian with check white and red table cloths) so with no other real option other than ordering a taxi we opted to eat in. I had a starter - prawns tempura....not! But admittedly it's very difficult to get a western chef to cook tempura like they serve in Japan. But I would skip this dish if coming again. Batter too thick and hence oily. No starter for my daughter. The vegan patty was just ok. Bun was whatever. Mayo was not great. Patty was chickpea but seemed just like super mushy mushed chickpeas half of it slopped out of the bun as I took the first bite. Have had a ton of way better vegan burgers. Sorry! Haha!Ok so that was my daughter's dish and her write up. Mine....lamb chops....what can I say. A basic dish but scrumdiddilyumptous !! Perfectly cooked. I sucked the bones clean. Served with shredded carrots and zucchini which was excellent. I skipped on any side dishes but found I needed some additional filling so topped up on leftover fries from the vegan burger above. Dessert - chocolate pudding (see pic). First impressions......Pretty good, tasty! 7.5!Service was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. Wine list was decent and I had a half bottle of Roncobello Vigneti di Morbio. Very good merlot. Prices.... good value for Switzerland.
Grande sala all'interno. Possibilità di mangiare fuori. Il servizio era ottimo. La pizza non era male ma mancava di salsa al pomodoro e un pò di cottura. L'insalata mediterranea era buona ma niente di speciale.
Sono stato in questo ristorante per la prima volta per lavoro. Locale carino arredato stile grotto. Abbiamo mangiato una pizza. Nulla di particolare. Nella norma. Forno a legna. Ne go mangiate di migliori. Senza infamia e senza lode. Servizio lento, soprattutto nel conto. Prezzi nella norma
Damals waren wir mindestens einmal in unseren Ferien in diesem Restaurant. Nun war ich vorläufig das letzte Mal dort. Die zwei Punkte rechtfertigen lediglich das zarte und leckere Fleisch. Wir bestellten Onion Rings - bekamen je vier kleine, lieblos angerichtete Ringe zum Preis von je 4 Fr. Dazu gab es nicht einmal einen Dip. Wenn schon Amerikanisch, dann richtig! Anschliessend haben wir Fleisch mit Country Frits bestellt (extra nachgefragt), jedoch eine mittelgrosse Ofenkartoffel mit sehr saurer Sauce bekommen. Da man die Beilage zusätzlich bezahlen muss, fand ich die Portion Kartoffel für 5Fr eine Frechheit. Das Personal hatte keinen guten Tag und als auf der Rechnung 7.50Fr für die fade Kartoffel verrechnet wurde, hat das uns echt enttäuscht (die ganze Situation). Wir haben das Personal freundlich darauf hingewiesen und mussten zuerst diskutieren, bis wir auf der Karte beweisen konnten, dass wie recht hatten. Echt mühsam, statt dass man kurz überlegt und selber nachschaut. Aber so ist es ja einfacher. Sehr schade, dass das Restaurant so abgenommen hat. Wir werden vorläufig nicht mehr kommen, da es in der Umgebung wirklich viele tolle Restaurants gibt. Und ein Steakhaus ist es auf keinen Fall. Bekannt ist und bleibt das Restaurant für ihre Pizzen.
Sehr feine Holzoffen Pizzen und grosser Salat mit selbstgemachtem Pizzabrot. Feine und sehr grosse Kinderportionen (Chicken Nuggets = frittierte Pouletbrust und nicht brasilianische kleinste Stücke)! Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service! Zum Espresso noch selbst gebackener Konfekt (Guetzli).Sehr gerne wieder!
Pranzo delizioso, con le colleghe abbiamo mangiato ottimi hamburger si di carne che vegani.Nel menù c'erano molte varianti vegane. Birra e acqua rigorosamente italiane.Luogo incantevole. Servizio buono.Consigliato anche per pranzi di lavoro.
if the barilotto would be on the lake, you would have to reserve day before. it runs so well, unobtrusively placed at the hote de la paix. what is offered here fits really wonderful, we will be happy to come back! total huge selection for future trips.
Very nice looking Italian restaurant in de la Paix hotel. Menu is simple and there is only few bbq meals, even there is open fire all the time. It seems that pizza is most recommend dinner. I took veal meet and it was good, but Side order was over grilled vedgetables and it was too wet for me. Second visit I took beef medalions with Poratielle pyree. All was eatable, but I have eaten lot of better diners. Friendly but slow service.
