Touring the area on a rainy day, we stopped at Bauer for the traditional Kaffee und Kuchen. Pastries were fresh and tasty. Tea and expresso were also fine. Friendly and efficient staff.
A small bakery with variety of choices. I loved their sandwiches and their donuts. There is a small corner for kids. The lady who works their was very kind with us. I'll definitely visit that place in the future.

When in Austria, the rolls, breads and pastry are a must. This little bakery has it all. Good coffee and a small seating area. Sun fills the room in the morning and it is a very pleasant way to start the day.
The blonde girl made 3 years old kid cry because she was busy selling us ice cream. We waited 15 minutes, but she just came away. Great service.
We stayed a week in the village and often called to the café for bread and then sat and had coffee and cakes. Friendly service, good variety and decent prices.
We went here during our holiday in Maria Alm and compared to other years we have a feeling that they are on a departure path. The atmosphere is less, the service level (some) the staff could be better, definitely the coffee was better a few years ago and the cake I had unfortunately also not been so fantastic. Have eaten much better cakes in Austria! Cleanliness also feels under the usual Austrian high standard. Deity like the place is in a great place and could be a real top spot.
I woke up early and wanted to explore Maria Alm; found this bakery. Didn't try at this point, actually went to another city on the street where this bakery was. We tried this location a few days later and enjoyed it for a cozy breakfast.
