Just love popping in here for a hot chocolate and a warm. A beautiful, rustic mountain restaurant with a roaring fire and lovely views. Have to admit though, the main attraction are the animals which are housed in a small stall adjoining the entrance and the lounge area. It's lovely to sit and watch the antics of the goats and rabbits whilst sipping your chocolate. There was a lovely old dog outside as well this year. Hard for families to access though as the only way to ski there is via red or black runs. Certainly worth the effort.

I'd ski-toured here, so perhaps any hot food would've been good... However, I think this was genuinely good Austrian food. I had an excellent pressed-cheese dumpling soup, though the liver dumplings looked excellent too. The beef broth the dumplings were served in was perfect - clear, nice and salty, not too greasy. I had the best piece of Topfenstrudel (quark strudel, basically cheesecake in pastry!) that I've ever had up at an alm. Usually you'd have to hit a bakery to get something that good. It was enourmous too, and with more time, cash and belly-space I'd have had at the apple strudel too. True to alpine and alm form these "desserts" could easily just be your meal. The Germknoedel looked like it could serve that purpose too...The alm itself is warm, has a good amount of space and suitably mind-boggling views of the Hochkoenig and its surrounding peaks. It's expensive, but then food trucked to 2000m altitude does understandably tend that way. It's certainly a worthy finish to a reverse-Hochkoenig tour, a good spot for the days when a crumpled pack-lunch sandwich doesn't appeal, or the days when apres skiing begins ~12 noon...

A nice log house restaurant on the top of the highest slope of the Königtour with fantastic views of the alps. Have tride there the wiener schnitzel and guljash soup. The price example of a soup, croissant and a beer was 10.50 eur. It was very nice outside seating to the south partly covered with glass walls for wind protection. Absolutely worth to stop there for food and beverages if you take the Königstour or just enjoy skiing in Maria Alm & Dienten area.

After skiing for 3 hours the glass of beer on the peak in the sun shine is a tale. More over the view of Alps catch your eyes and heart.

The Abergalm is located in the middle of the skiing region. Therefore getting there by ski is very convenient.Inside the hut a warm atmosphere welcomes you. The big fire place or the tile stove help you warm up. The staff is very friendly and speaks various languages. The food is being served so no queuing is required. The best thing about the Abergalm however is the food. They serve organic beef and prepare their own beef stock. I highly recommend the Kaspressknödelsuppe (lokal cheese dumplings in beef stock). Delicious. They also have outdoor seating for the sunny days. An additional nice detail is little barn with bunnies and goatlings.

when they come to butgalm (shoe the ski season) they either have to go to the black slope from above on aberg or dare to take the T-lift up and take a beautiful red slope down to alm. it's a bit out of the beaten path with other words. that makes it a little less busy than some of the other raids on the hangings of the maria alm. not everything together. eating is hearty and well prepared. the place is beautiful and cozy and the staff is very friendly. the place has a small stall with goats and rabbits, very cozy! all eating is on the way, from the farm very close.

I made ski tours here, so maybe a hot meal would have been good. I believe, however, that was really good Austrian food. I had an excellent pressed cheese dumping soup, although the liver dumps also looked excellent. the bark broth in which the dumplings were served was perfect .clear, beautiful and salty, not too fat. I had the best piece of top strudel (quarkstrudel, in the ground cheesecake in the baked! that I was ever on an almose. Usually you have to meet a bakery to get something that's good. it was also energetic, and with more time, cash, and booze room I also had at the apfelstrudel. true to alpine and almose, these desserts can only be their food. the germknoedel looked as if it could also serve this purpose. the almose itself is warm, has a good amount of space and suitable spirit fluctuating views on the high-coast and its surrounding climax. it is expensive, but then food at 2,000m height understandably tends to this wise. it is certainly a worthy destination for a reverse high-quality tour, a good place for the days when a crimped package lunch sandwich 't appeal, or the days when apres ski begins ~12 midday.
