difficulty finding the grotto. despite two different navigators we couldn't identify him. They brought us near and we arrived at the grotto, asking people we met. We booked, but they gave us a table in the basement room. They don't make alcoholic aperitifs, but they only have wine or spritz. we drank tap water, because they only have a brand of mineral water we didn't know. the bread that served us was not fresh (it was Saturday.) we ordered two appetizers two first a dessert and two glasses of wine. red wine was ice cream.(sic) I asked as first a portion and a half. the waiter when he served me the first, he said "full portion." It was not true because my wife had 11 ravioli on the plate and I 12. We spent 138 chf.
Hervoragendes Ambiennte, speziell idylisch im Garten, tolle typische Karte (immer Tagesspezials nachfragen), super Service, interessannte Weinkarte... mein Tipp: Vorspeise Burata melanzano und zum Hauptgang Taliata di manzo... als Dessert: hausgemachtes Eis! Preis/Leistung stimmt! Wir kommen beim nächsten Besuch in Lugano wieder!!!!

Wir haben einen schönen Abend im Grotto verbracht. Das Essen ist wie man von so einem Grotto erwartet, einfach super.Bedienung sehr zu vorkommend und freundlich.Wir kommen wieder.
Dieses "Grotto" ist ein Besuch wert! Auch wenn der Begriff Grotto hier etwas fehl interpretiert werden kann, denn hier ist ein höheres Niveau vorhanden und nicht das typisch rustikale für ein Grotto. Das Restaurant liegt sehr schön unter alten Bäumen, eignet sich also bestens um der Hitze zu entkommen. Parkplätze sind direkt am Restaurant vorhanden. Die Vorspeisen Foie Gras und Gazpacho waren sensationell, ebenso das Iberico Schwein und die Tranchen vom Filet im Hauptgang. Dazu tolle Weinauswahl und guter Service! Die Preise sind wie überall in der Schweiz ordentlich, aber das weiß man vorher wenn man in ein Restaurant geht...dafür ist die Schweiz nun mal bekannt. Hier waren wir mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal essen. Wer ein schönes Ambiente mit gutem Service und tollem essen sucht ist hier bestens aufgehoben!
