Menu was extensive. The"luxury" meal seemed good value for money with a soup, 2 main course dishes, rice and a dessert. The vegan ordered "fried rice with vegetables" and received a full plate of fried rice and a full plate of vegetables. The food seemed very salty, but we are not accustomed to eating a lot of salt. There was only one waitress to do everything in quite a large restaurant, so service seemed a bit slow.
The waitress was friendly and brought the drinks fast. The soup incl. in the luxury menu was to salty and the mini springrolls tasted like they were out of the supermarket freeze.The main courses were good and the sauce was served in extra bowls. Unfortunately when trying to get a refill it took quiet a while to get the waitresses attention even only 4 people were on the restaurant. After 2 Chinese tourist groups (one after another) showed up there was no more service. We were surprised that out dessert was brought after the groups had left. My conclusion:You can eat here but don't expect something special and avoid eating here when there is a group.
There is an English translation of sorts of the menu - thank goodness - so we got by, but we had quite a few misunderstandings. Food was OK, kids were more enthusiastic than us. Seafood was tastier than meat dish. In retrospect it would had been better to opt for a menu deal. Big portions. Service could be better (e.g. We didn't get napkins and rice was left all over the table while our daughter had ice cream).
We loved this restaurant. Friendly service, great value for money and a change from the Austrian cuisine. We were surprised to find this restaurant here, but can certainly recommend it.We almost didn't visit, because the inside isn't visible from the street, so it was a bit of a gamble. Luckily it paid off.
since I lived here several times in steinach am brenner, I found eating this every time excellent. I would regain the crispy duck without sauce with rice.
comftable seating, extra surface for smoker, well visited, but not crowded. was good, bark was only in order. a lot.
