This place is very good, clean fresh food. We loved it and would recommend to anyone looking for a great spot to eat.
While on a week visit to Twelve Mile Lake area, our friends treated us to a delicious meal at Suwan's Thai Cuisine. It was a Friday evening and even though we had a 20 minute wait for an outside table, the waiting was SO worth it. We started with some spring rolls as appetizers then were served our Pad Tai medium hot. The noodles, sauce and meat was so tasty. It made you want to eat slowly to enjoy each mouthful. I would not hesitate to order this again and one as a carry out to enjoy at home. Writing this is making my mouth is water now. Can't wait until our next trip North! Enjoy this great cuisine!!!
We enjoyed our dinner at this very interesting Thai restaurant that nested inside an antique shop. The concept is very interesting and makes waiting for the your food that much interesting as you wanders to the front of the restaurant where there is a small section that houses antique books and magazines. The food is good but I wouldn't say it is Thai, but a fusion of different styles of Asian cuisine with a strong Thai orientation. We enjoyed the food, but I definitely have better Thai food somewhere else. The wait for the food is a bit long as well however the service is very friendly and the restaurant is very interesting in terms of its setting.
Yummy yum yum! Delicious food. Friendly staff! So awesome! Loved it! Funky decor. You will love it. Can't say enough good things about this place.
Went with my family of 6 including grandkids. Please consider getting a highchair with tray as our baby granddaughter couldn't feed herself without one. Service was excellent and food was good. Grandson really enjoyed the sweet potato fries. Portions were relatively small and prices higher than Thai restaurants we tried in the GTA. But all in all, it was a pleasant visit in a unique setting!
I just had yet another fantastic meal at the Suwan's Thai ... top-notch pad thai and shrimp red curry (nice flavourful heat to the curry, but not overwhelming). But during the summer months, reservations definitely recommended. On a Wednesday evening the place was packed with a line-up at the door.
First-timers to Suwan's in Minden and our family of 4 was pleasantly surprised - 7 and 11 year old included! We willbe back! Our lunches were excellent. From Cold Rolls/Spring Rolls to Oodles of veggie noodles and Panang Red curry, our taste buds were singing. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the steady stream of vacationers floating down the river while we savoured every delicious bite.Suwan's does not have a liquor, but a cold beer/wine would have been a welcome addition to a wonderful lunch
