we had the grill meat dish that was excellent. there were many meat and fries and sauces. we were really full at the end. my daughter (act 8) had spaghetti bolognaise that she said was the best ever ', which is high praise!
the guests are greeted by a very loud owner who then lukeciously chat with natives and server sent to place customers. ordered a Mongolian fondue and water. very expensive (over 200 chf for 4 people and in any case this price-performance ratio could not call a novelty. broth that they boil thin meat or fish/prawns in. it did not seem enough to heat up to cook the fish, and ended our appetit on cutting enough to be considered edible. either the fish or the psychological effect, being nervous to eat raw fish, made two of us sick in the night. the service was good, although nice friendly waitress and attentive. I could not recommend others, in all honesty.
we enjoyed a family mongolian fondue with meat and seafood (fish and prawns) with much frit after an salat escape. The Mongolian fondue is perfect for families with older children, but not younger children than meat and seafood cook in boiling broth!...A nice evening meal in a beautiful atmosphere with ease and attentive service. a little on the expensive side, although 220 francs without wine, but two large bottles champagne. book a few days in advance during the ski season!
eat them elsewhere. I never had such a bad service from a owner who did not serve any fondue in the main restaurant. the farmers eat cheese in caffe. the waitress was apologetic and I felt regret for her. they really avoid this place. hopefully the owner is sold and someone else will do a better job to run it, there are good potential when the owner goes.
The comments here about the cheese vs meat sides of the restaurant are not exaggerated. Came here for special meal to celebrate our anniversary but as we wanted to enjoy a cheese fondue were forced to sit in the cafe-side, with no atmosphere. The fondue...was basic but pleasant...however, being charged an extra CHF9 for a green salad to go with it sums this place up. Avoid
Have eaten here a couple of times, as a couple and with local friends. The restaurant is well frequented and interesting tasty cuisine. Service is efficient and friendly.
Six of us arrived and wanted to eat both cheese and meat fondues in the restaurant. After ordering drinks we were told that cheese fondues could only be eaten when turning right in the restaurant into a cafe style area with hard seating and wooden...tables. Turning left took you into a pleasant comfortably furnished area but this was reserved for meat fondue eaters only! Our requests to the fairly pleasant waitress for a table in the restaurant were refused along with a request to bring in some comfortable chairs from the restaurant area just meters away. All the while the manageress muttered under her breath in a disrespectful manner. At this point we left so cannot comment on the food. Would not return.
I would rate 0 stars . Booked a table for 6 . Arrived restaurant only had 2 other tables. We wanted a cheese and meat fondue , but were asked to move to a different room , with no comfortable chairs or tables cloths When...asked if we could eat together but was told no We left as the owner was disrespectful to our party Very disappointed
