Usually come here for a good meal at a nice location and ideal for a stroll walk. Very good traditional menu and friendly good service.
I wasn't sure to write here about my favourite local restaurant (I don't wana risk to get no place because of to many reservations ;-)).But that's for sure, you can't find a better place to eat chicken called "Poulet im Chörbli". Fresh made chicken, french fries and a delicious homemade sauce. Try it.
We went to the Linde Oberwil many times as we live nearby, just the two of us. We also took guests there a number of times. Every time, the food was excellent. Special wishes of our guests were lovingly catered for and respected. The personnel is friendly and fast. The choice of food is excellent and covers the local cuisine. Seating inside is nice and comfortable yet relatively modern, seating outside is nice for summers. It is definitely one of the first places that we consider whenever we go out to eat around here.
Zur Linde is your typical Swiss village restaurant but with a Twist. This restaurant serves lovingly prepared local cuisine that is plated in a very modern fashion. Especially good is there liver dish that is served with a cream sauce and roesti (of course). Not surprisingly, the restaurant is well known and thus very often booked out, especially during the weekends. I can highly recommend this restaurant – it is not so easily reached from Zurich City but the 35m travel is worthwhile if you need to get away from the hustle of the City and enjoy a great local plate of food and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Oberwil bei Nuerendorf with its view over the famous Swiss Alps.
We ate here twice recently to see if it was as good the second time round, and it was! The first visit was on a Sunday for lunch, and although pretty full, we managed to get a table. The staff were efficient despite being over run by large groups, and Sunday, appears very popular, so maybe book ahead. The menu is Swiss traditional food. I had beef tartare and meatloaf which came with a selection of perfectly cooked vegetables and a wine jus. Perfect!..and reasonably priced mains at CHF27 á rarity in Switzerland. Overall impression was very good. It's an efficient restaurant, and service is fast, prices were reasonable. Would recommend, especially for group dining. Large beer garden in summer months...enjoy!
I had lunch at the Linde recently and I must say, the food served was just excellent. I chose from a of the daily menus and started with a very good soup. The "Wildgeschnetzeltes" (2 different types of deer) came with a light and very tasty mushroom sauce and was of outstanding quality. Vegetables (Rosenkohl) and Spätzli were excellent, too. As a dessert I had some chocolate mousse. Service is friendly and what you can expect at a restaurant of this standing. All in all: very recommendable restaurant in Oberwil (close to Nürensdorf) with excellent food at reasonable prices.
This restaurant serves very tasty seasonal dishes and makes a great rösti. The choice of wines is to be recommended. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is good. There is a very pretty large room for group functions and a large terrace for summer afternoons and evenings. Families and couples enjoy celebratory meals there. It is also a quiet location for a business lunch. You can even call in for a coffee and croissant in the morning or an ice-cream from its large selection in the afternoon.
