over the ski slope you reach the matthorn. a restaurant with a classic card and good food at a good price. the service is very friendly and also recognizes a few days later. wishes are implemented without much consideration. Although the matthorn does not offer an breakfast, on the day of our departure (ski holidays) we were able to enjoy a rich, very good breakfast (on reservation on the day before.) with children, by the way, it is ideal as it has a play. we weren't there last time!
the village riederalp is a car-free zone and so if you don't get from the ski slope you have to walk a small piece up the mountain to the restaurant matterhorn. During the day, the restaurant is located directly on the hangar and from the sun terrace you can observe the progress of the smallest in the ski school with coffee and cake. the matthorn offers solid cost at a fair price-performance ratio. that is also the fact that locals are to be found here. in my opinion, one should concentrate on the things that you can really do well, such as the excellent snorkelless cheese fondue. courts such as the salmon or lammentrecote do not have to be. the service, especially the chefin, is very friendly and takes care of the guests. the ambiente with much bright wood is rustic and quite cozy. If you look at the regional strong specialties and the prices remain so realistic, then the matthorn is a good address on the riederalp when it comes to tasty ground-based eating.A good tipp to the conclusion: since the gas room is quite small, I strongly recommend booking in the evening especially with larger groups.

Tipp topp Restaurant. Die Menüs sind frisch zubereitet. Auch die Gulaschsuppe ist frisch gekocht und kommt nicht aus dem Busch. Service und Preis/Leistung auch sehr gut. Bei Grossandrang sind längere Wartezeiten unvermeidlich und gut zu akzeptieren.
Wir haben in einem schönen Ambiente sehr gut gegessen. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend, einige der Familie hatte einige zusätzliche Wünsche, die alle erfüllt waren; Das Essen war köstlich und die Karte ist vielfältig, auch mit einem veganen Menü. Es ist auch schön, den Chef persönlich zu sehen. Wir kommen definitiv zurück! Nächstes Mal vielleicht am Mittag auf der schönen Sonnenterrasse.
