the village riederalp is a car-free zone and so if you don't get from the ski slope you have to walk a small piece up the mountain to the restaurant matterhorn. During the day, the restaurant is located directly on the hangar and from the sun terrace you can observe the progress of the smallest in the ski school with coffee and cake. the matthorn offers solid cost at a fair price-performance ratio. that is also the fact that locals are to be found here. in my opinion, one should concentrate on the things that you can really do well, such as the excellent snorkelless cheese fondue. courts such as the salmon or lammentrecote do not have to be. the service, especially the chefin, is very friendly and takes care of the guests. the ambiente with much bright wood is rustic and quite cozy. If you look at the regional strong specialties and the prices remain so realistic, then the matthorn is a good address on the riederalp when it comes to tasty ground-based eating.A good tipp to the conclusion: since the gas room is quite small, I strongly recommend booking in the evening especially with larger groups.
