Friendly service, but the food was terrible, most of it not at all edible. And for that they charge horrendous prices. The wine was the only thing one could actually enjoy (also overpriced of course). Wouldn't recommend this place to anybody, better to get some crackers at the nearby gas station.
An excellent cook with a very sophisticated wine list with a local touch. The dinner was excellent local specialities mixed with a "cuisine de marché". The team was very welcoming and seem to like their work.
In my opinion the best restaurant in the sedrun area. It is located in Rueras at the main road to Oberalp pass. Reservations are recommended as it is mostly full, especially during winter season when there are hotel guests. Cozy atmosphere and very friendly service. The excellent food is seasonal and offers local specialities, cooked with regional ingredients.
This is a fine restaurant in a very small town. I enjoyed a dish that seemed to appear on menus all over the region -- Hirschpfeffer, which is kind of like Sauerbraten done with venison. My wife had Hackbraten, which is like the world's fanciest meatloaf. Both main courses were delicious and came with a wide array of tasty side items. I counted 11 separate side items on my plate before they rapidly disappeared. Every one of them came with full flavor that complemented the meal.The atmosphere was impacted (some will find positively, others negatively) by a loud group of local men who seem to use this place as their regular hangout to host animated discussions. Otherwise it had the feel of a fine dining establishment. And it was priced accordingly -- not cheap, but certainly fair for the quality and taste of the meal.
