Wir kehrten heute im Gasthaus zum Rathaus zum Mittagessen ein. Im Parterre gibt es ein Fumoir und ein Nichtraucherteil. Im oberen Stock hat es mehrere Stüblis für Gruppen. Für 15.50Fr. gab es Suppe Salat Holzfällersteak mit Bohnen und Röstkartoffeln. Es schmeckte sehr gut. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.
Since I already knew this small and very traditional hotel I decided once more to book a double room for me and my girlfriend. Prior to our stay I found it very kind how the host asked me about a midnight snack because we were due to arrive a bit late in the evening. Well done! Yet in the end we managed to arrive sooner and so we did not have to accept his kind offer. When finally arrived at the place we found ourself surrounded by some rather unpleasent smell coming from the kittchen... the whole corridor would smell from oil and smoke since one part of the restaurant was kept as a fumour which was quite crowded at that time of the day. Asking for another room that might be less affected by the smell we could not really smell any different so we stuck to the offered room yet openend the windows for a while to let some fresh air inside. In the morning we had to ask the waitress to fill up the water from the coffee machine as it was empty... followed by asking to bring some natural yoghurt which we expected to have ready as well for a traditional breakfast. After a short while she presented what we asked for and a few minutes later we also got our 5 min egg. The next morning we wanted to have breakfast a little earlier than usual since the weather was very promising and we did not want to lose any time to get on the slope. Surprisingly we were told that no one would be around before 8 am and so they prepared everything in the evening what they could and around 8 the other girl arrived to ask if we wanted anything else like a 5 min egg like the day before.. due to lack of time I had do decline. Honestly this time I was rather disappointed by the service offered by this place... since it used to be much better during my various stays in the past. I really enjoy the rustical style of the rooms as well as the interior of the whole house. I might try another hotel next time just to have a comparison. Prices are very reasonable and I must say that the people did their best to make up for the things that they forgot to prepare beforehand and they were very friendly all the time. We will see if on one of our next trips they will remember everything so we don't have to remind them first ;-)
We found the hotel just by looking for a place to sleep. It is one of those very nice places with friendly people were you can stay and wake up with a smile. Breakfest prepared at our time: perfect gasthaus.
Einfach pefekt, super Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung, wunderbares Essen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder...
Ein kleines urgemütliches Hotel. Wie zu Hause. Die Betten sind prima, man schläft wie in Abrahams Schuss. Die Zimmer sauber und urig gemütlich. Der Service, ist Spitze, auch wenn man einmal spät Abends einen Sonderwunsch hat, wird er erfüllt. Das Essen, also 5 Sterne. Immer frisch gekocht, aus regionalen Produkten und immer mit dem gewissen etwas. Eben Hausgemacht. Wir waren wirklich angenehm überrascht und hatten soviel nicht hinter diesem kleinen Hotel vermutet. Da können sich einige Sterne Hotels eine Scheibe abschneiden. Wir werden im nächsten Jahr wieder kommen. Ein ganz großes Dankeschön an die Wirtsleute.
Die ausgewogene Speisekarte mit vielen regionalen und saisonalen (jetzt hats Wild :-) ) und das zu wirklich fairen Preisen. Frisch zubereitet und schöne Portionen landen auf dem Teller. Wirklich lecker sind die hausgemachten Salat-Saucen!
wie immer war das Essen super gut und der Service sehr zuvorkommendem. ich kehre immer wieder gerne im Rathaus ein.
Da wir bei unserem Urlaub in Klosters irgendwie immer nach Saas zum Essen landen, sind wir das zweite Mal zum Gasthaus zum Rathaus gefahren. Noch vom vorigen Essen innerlich gewärmt, hatten wir beschlossen dass es diesmal das Fondue sein solle. Auch wenn wir, wie erwähnt, schon Gutes erwartet hatten, wurden unsere Erwartungen wieder einmal übertroffen! Der Salat vorneweg, besonders mit den hausgemachten Dressings, war sehr knackig und lecker! Das folgende Fondue, mit oder ohne Kirschbrand, war ein Traum. Leider war es mein erstes Käsefondue, deswegen fehlt mir der Vergleich, aber es hat mir sehr geschmeckt und ich war danach auch auf angenehme Weise pappsatt! Ich kann das Essen hier nur empfehlen! Der überzeugende und erfrischend nette Service tut sein eigenes zum Erlebnis!
