When I arrived, I could see the restaurant was very busy, and the downstairs area was closed. However, I was shown to a patio area behind the restaurant that was very quiet.The service was very friendly, and they helped translate words I did not understand (whilst helping with the pronunciations I butchered) which took the scariness out of eating as a solo traveler abroad.I had the groestl followed by strudel both of which were delicious. Would definitely recommend for anybody in the area.

So the ambiance was great, the service was great, and the food was good. We liked the chantarells and bacon dish and chicken gyro dish. I would recommend this place as a pretty and friendly spot for a nice meal. You won't be disappointed.
Die Speisekarte deckt von regionalen Spezialitäten über mediterran bis asiatisch scheinbar so ziemlich alles ab - alles ein bisschen... das Essen (einmal Rahmeierschwammerl mit Semmelknödel und einmal Lachs mit Salat und Baguette) ist ziemlich ok, die Preise für Salzburg auch, die Bedienung freundlich und kompetent. Die Weine (Grüner Veltliner, Muskateller) waren nichts besonderes, aber auch ok. Wahrscheinlich ist Bier hier die bessere Wahl. Insgesamt ein Ort, wo man gelegentlich hingehen kann, sehr nett zum draußen sitzen, an einer ruhigen Gasse, wo Kinder mit einer Art Wasserlauf spielen können.
Met het prachtige avondweer hadden we geluk dat er net een tafeltje op het terras in het gezellig steegje vrijkwam. De bediening was zeer hartelijk en super vriendelijk. Het typisch Oostenrijks eten was voortreffelijk.Een aanrader.
Non è uno di quei ristoranti facili da trovare, non è su una via molto frequentata , ne esce tra le prime scelte dei motori di ricerca, ma ne vale la pena. L'ingresso è potente con queste vetrate in stile liberty, l'interno si presenta come un classica birreria, ma il cortile interno è ovattato, tranquillo, intimo. I piatti sono una rivisitazione moderna della cucina tipica locale (a volte anche con azzardi austro/mediterranei !!!). Abbondanti i piatti, buona la cucina e ottimo il servizio!
My husband and I went to this restaurant for dinner. The restaurant had some free outdoor tables as well as few tables free inside. The server was extremely rude and said there was atleast 30mins wait or potentially no place at all. He said despite having some open tables. We walked out of the restaurant and went to a better next door restaurant instead.
This restaurant came recommended in a brochure given to us by our bike tour guide. It was a little tricky to find at first, given that it is technically part of a church and we missed the sign. We sat in the back of the restaurant in an outdoor courtyard which was very quiet. Our waiter was very nice, offering recommendations and explaining the menu to us. I ended up ordering a potato skillet, which was very tasty. The food was a little heavy, but it was still really enjoyable. We ended up splitting the strudel for dessert, which was a nice way to end the meal. Prices were decent too which was nice.
