Reserved a table for dinner through the hotel staff for this unassuming restaurant. There was nothing unassuming about our dinner -- we tried two types of "weinerschnitzal," one beef and one pork and both were delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. In a very expensive city, especially during festival, this restaurant is a delicious value. Make a reservation.
Erg lekker en heerlijk op het terras buiten. Grote bekers bier, schnitzel en de goulash met knödel. Top combi! De Wienerschnitzel was erg goed. De goulash was ook lekker maar de knödel was erg vullend. Ik zou de schnitzel aanraden. De Kaiserschmarn was overheerlijk. Dit gezellige restaurant met terras is een aanrader!
It was good that we have reserved a table since this restaurant has only a tiny terrace with about 10 tables. The meal was very delicious (I had a fried chicken salad and my friends a plate with chanterelle and eggs and a plate with several kind of meats with a skewer). My friend was very impressed with the lunch and thanked me that I made a booking there. The waiters were very kind and helpful.
Locale tipico, bisogna prenotare perché è sempre pieno. Il pollo fritto più buono di Salisburgo!!!! Anche i dolci sono stati molto apprezzati ;)
The worst meal we had in our vacations in Salzburg. I can understand why this restaurant has good ranking in TripAdvisor. The sausages was not boiled or roasted. The saurcraut was owfull. The beer seems to be from Hover.
My mother, sister and I were visiting Salzburg to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday and discovered this place as one of the top rated on TripAdvisor, and we can see why.I highly recommend booking a table as the first night we tried and didn't have a booking and they were fully booked. The next night we tried and they managed to squeeze us in.The local beer from the Augustines brewery was really good, I recommend trying it (my sister loved it and she doesn't normally drink beer). The staff were friendly and the service was good. All of the food we had was absolutely delicious. I had some cheese dumplings with sauerkraut, my sister (who is not normally an adventurous eater) loved the goulash, and I don't remember what my mum had but I know she loved her food too. For dessert we decided to try the local Salzburg speciality: nockerl (a sweet soufflé). On the menu it says "for 2 people"- well let me tell you there were three of us with decent appetites and even with us giving half of it away to the table behind us, we still couldn't finish it!! It would easily feed 4-5 people.In all I definitely recommend a visit. We had lovely views of the river sat out on the terrace and thoroughly enjoyed our food. However, make sure you book a table to avoid disappointment.
