If you enjoy seafood/fish – you will find nothing better. Typical/traditional Croatia food. No menus – everyone gets the same dishes that night at the whim of the chef. I doubt he’s ever disappointed. The food kept coming - and the Croatian white wine was surprisingly very nice. Owners are all very personable and attentive. Made for a delightful evening outside. We even got a complimentary bottle of wine to take with us. Can't ask for more than that! ENJOY IT!!!!
We left our hotel not knowing what or where to eat, but leaning towards seafood . Luckily, the first restaurant had no room outside. We got the last table here. I am in the wholesale wine business, my wife has had a travel company for years, and our friends own and operate a Spanish Restaurant so you could say we are bit particular. Our experience here was outstanding. The food was well prepared, very timely, and a great value! Our waitperson was very friendly and very proud of the food and the wine. We never saw a menu. We were told to just trust him. We are glad we did.
How bad is it that one of my favorite things about Salzburg was a Croatian restaurant? Seriously one of the best meals of my life; this restaurant really shows you how sometimes the best things in life are the simplest. There isn't really a menu--you basically choose between three or four courses. But there's something to be said about only doing one thing and doing it really well. The atmosphere is lovely and cozy and the server very kind, giving us a quiet spot in the back so that our toddler didn't disrupt other customers. Indeed, the only downside of the meal is that he can't sit through three courses very well--we usually choose appetizer or dessert, rarely both, and had to leave before finishing dessert because he was getting tired.
We fell into this place by accident...but I would go again and again on purpose! Food was amazing..goood wine and very friendly service. It's seafood! Amazing seafood! No more spoilers...just go eat it. :)
Came across this restaurant by chance while walking in the city. Was really satisfied with wonderful fish and cold Croatian white wine which was served immediately. Very good quality of fish and cosy atmosphere. I really enjoyed the restaurant and would recommend visitors of Salzburg to try it.
Cosy restaurant with uncomplicated athmosphere. Only one menue with Fish. Four courses possible. Wonderful wine of Istria. Very friendly service. We had a very familiar evening there.
Great fish. Happy, exuberant staff (a little unusual in Austria). Great price on super prix fix dinners w wine. Open til you want to leave.
Got there by chance walking back to hotel with kids. This place is run by Croatian team and seafood is very fresh. Amazing menu- only 2 choices( set menu), we took #2 menu: tuna carpaccio, mussels, octopus pasta and fish plater+ malvazja Croatian white wine. Service slow and very good (they don't hurry you, you have time to enjoy food and company). You get water and bread for free. Quality of food is on the best Croatian level (we have tested a lot sailing there each year). Good atmosphere, kids happy, reasonable pricing. Highly recommended if you look for basic (fresh& delicious) seafood and you are not in a hurry.
