In a small street in Salzburg this place is situated. With not much tables outside we were lucky to have one. I chose the "Grillpfandl" (€ 14,90). It was good. And you definitely get enough food for the money.
My wife, 2 girls and I had a terrific supper here. Service was efficient with a grumpy older German gentleman that had an old school way about him.Prices were great and they even had a few selections that had a few items that were sort of a "children's menu". These dishes were simpler and came with a good size salad.My wife and I thankfully shared this huge salad and a main. I included a picture of it.All super tasty and a very decent price. We would come back here again.
This place ticked all the boxes. The interior looks very traditional Austrian. The beer is fantastic. The food portions extremely hearty. It serves traditional Austrian food. I had the 3 meats with rice, chips and vegetables. Prices also very reasonable. Would recommend to anyone.
When I arrived, I was told they were full and to come back later. I asked if I could wait, and again I was told they were full. Then I asked if I could make a reservation, and was told no. I was going to leave when I was then told I could sit at a table with another couple. Ok. Too bad we couldn't communicate, but whatever. I ordered the potatoes, ham and sauerkraut. Sauerkraut was very good. Nothing special about the ham or potatoes.
We sat indoors during a thunderstorm and it wasn't too hot despite stifling weather. Friendly greeting and chat with the waiters. Excellent soup, schnitzl and extra generous brettljause. The Stiegl beer is good too.Zum Wilden Mann is in the heart of the tourist area but is great value and not at all a tourist trap. Indoor decoration is traditional but not fake quaint.We are only sorry we didn't visit here on our first trip, and will recommend it without hesitation.
Known as the best WienerSchnitzel in town... that is actually the best course they have besides all other traditional Austrian food and a bit international chooses!
Rude waiters, bad whipped cream, frozen vegetables in soup...:(. It was a bad experience...Don't go there...
From the moment we arrived to the end. Rolling eyes, sighs, impoliteness.I tried to speak German (austrian) when ordering and was greeted with disdain. So I mispronounced A few words, my German isn't horrendous 5 years of high school) i was actually trying -it was if I insulted them. I was insulted for trying.The food was average, and the service got worse, didn't want to offer my custom for coffee or anything else after.I will be telling anyone I know to seriously avoid this place. If you don't want to work there find another job, but I think they own it. Incredible sell up and leave.I know restaurants are not like this in Salzburg-certainly hope not.It's beautiful here. I will move past this unpleasant moment in our time here.I had to give them one star. Not allowed to give less on TripAdvisor
