We selected this place based on Trip Advisor ranking and it exceeded our expectations. Right by the Mozart bike route, it has plenty of seats both inside and out. The food was fantastic, even though I missed the Austrian potato salad on the menu. Try the cheese gratined gnocci or go for deer ragout. Fast and friendly service. A bit pricey but well worth it.
We were there for a dinner with a group of 13 friends.Food was excellent and staff very helpfull with taking a place for this group.Very nice place.
Excellent, genuine Austrian 'home' cooking. Off the beaten path, but absolutely worth a visit. Hard to beat for quality and originality. Four of us had main courses and a glass or two each (plus one dessert) and the cost was €91 - not cheap but certainly well worth it. Cannot recommend highly enough for a good experience. Excellent staff, really good food and a great rural location underneath the Drachenwand.
When we came all of the tables were reserved, but we luckily got place at the tree table, the waiters were very busy and not really paying enough attention to customers. I also really dislike that we did not get our food together, but my boyfriend had to watch me eat while he was still waiting. Nevertheless the food was excellent.
Close to mondsee you may stop for lunch or dinner or just a drink in a pleasant authentic restaurant. The food, drinks, deserts and service are perfect.
If you want to have authentical meal, i deffinetly recomand this place. You should try also the desert kaiserschmarrn!! Very tasty ????
Great place to try authentic Austrian dishes. Great garden in summer with nice atmosphere and very friendly service. Little playground for children. Not touristy, a place locals would go to.
We visited on a summer's evening and were very glad to catch the setting sun's rays on the towering cliffs behind the hotel. We were also glad we'd reserved, as it was full to bursting. Our party enjoyed the attentive service in the traditional decor, and the wide menu of traditional dishes. There's a good choice of fish, steaks and schnitzels, and we tested them to the full - the wine list of good too. We enjoyed possibly the best ever Schnitzel Cordon Bleu and Zwiebelrostrbraten, and the Rheinankerfilet too... We wish we lived nearby as it would become a regular haunt! Not expensive, either.
