I had lunch there during a hike along the scenic Kulturweg (Culture Trail) from Ausserberg to Raron. The restaurant is located in the picturesque village of St. German directly near the church. The restaurant is small but with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Thumbs-up...for the warm welcome by the tenant lady, who was friendly and efficient throughout the entire lunch. Her husband is the Chef de Cuisine; he took the time to come out and greet all the guests, which is always a much appreciated gesture. He even gave me some hiking tips in the area! As starter I opted for sauteed scallops with citrus risotto and asparagus: delicate and full of flavours. As main course I chose the perch fillets with morels. The fish was cooked to perfection tender and delicate. As dessert I had marinated strawberries with ice cream: sweet and refreshing. My whole lunch including Johannisberg, sparkling water and coffee amounted to Admittedly quite expensive but definitely well worth it.

Thumbs-up...for the warm welcome of the renter who was friendly and efficient throughout the lunchtime. you man is the chef de cuisine; he took the time to come out and greet all the guests who is always a much appreciated gesture. he even gave me some hiking tips in the opposite! as a starter I decided for sauteed scallops with zitrus risotto and spade: delicate and full taste. as main course I chose the perchfilets with morels. the fish was cooked for perfection tender and delicate. when dessert I had edible with ice cream marinated: sweet and refreshing. my whole lunch included johannisberg, champagne water and coffee, was quite expensive, but it was definitely worth it.
