The best rösti. ever?. We took the cable car to go up, Didn't want to climb 3 hours. We walked down, 1 1/2 hour. It was a wounderful day !
This is a true oasis clinging to a cliff. They are known for their rostis. Yum! I had a half rosti w salad and bacon and a huge flagon of water. Most people were having beer.
The staff was very friendly, we ordered different dishes which came all very quick and all the same time. The quality was good and the prices very reasonable for being somewhere on the Swiss mountains.
We were family with toddler and a senior member. Views are amazing! Food is good and we tried different dishes. One of the best day in Switzerland. Walk from cabel car and back through caves was fun.
We spent a Weekend in the Appenzelll alps. After having taken the small cable car from Wasserauen, we just left our baggage in the Bergasthaus Ebenalp and walked to the Wildkirchli Restaurant (around 20 minutes to go down there and around 30-35 minutes to come back up to the Bergasthaus.) At the evening, we had a very nice dinner with Swiss specialities. We slept in a room for 8 People and it was very funny. However, I would recommend to reserve a single room; you will better sleep! For a Weekend, all included, you must Count around CHF 200 - CHF 250-. (hotel, dinner and two lunches for two People.)
Breathtaking views in the Swiss Alps accompanied by locally brewed beer and one of the best Rosti dishes I've ever eaten. It's not easy to find, but it is such a treat, its worth looking for. We were treated to the local farmers singing while we ate lunch and also an exceptionally good hot chocolate before we headed back down the mountain.
A restaurant and hotel built directly into the cliffs. Incredible views of the snow-capped mountains and lake below. Fun to watch the hang-gliders.
Again,Äscher was full, so we wwent to the Ebenalp, but again the service was so solw ( the weaher was nice, but it was known for a few days) we waited for 30 min, with Staff going by, tried to call them but no response, so after a while we packed together an left, just as a waitress came by, we told her, but she did no seem to care.So, if i can help it we wont go back there
