Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 9 Personen in diesem Restaurant und ich muss sagen, dass es von außen sehr schön aussah, aber von innen nicht sehr einladend war. Die Tische sehr sehr nahe beieinander und es gab nicht viel Platz und es war sehr laut, da es sehr voll war. Das Essen, das wir bestellt hatten, war sehr durchschnittlich und der Salat war schrecklich - es war bitter und das Dressing schmeckte nur nach Naturjoghurt. Das Personal war sehr, sehr beschäftigt und immer in Eile, was uns etwas unwohl fühlte. Die Preise waren jedoch sehr vernünftig, aber ich glaube nicht, dass wir in Zukunft wieder dorthin gehen werden.
Sie hatten seit meinem letzten Besuch den ganzen ländlichen Kram ausgeräumt und einen viel saubereren, helleren Raum geschaffen. Sie haben den "Kuhstall"-Teil des Namens jedoch beibehalten. Ich hatte eine gute Tomatensuppe und eine leckere Auswahl an Medaillons, die in einer Pfanne mit einer Pilzsauce serviert wurden, die hauptsächlich aus Pilzen und Sahne zu bestehen schien. Ich spülte es mit einigen Proben von ihrer Bierliste herunter (die einen schönen frisch gezapften Kolsch enthielt). Der Service war in Ordnung. Es mag eine kulturelle Sache sein, aber wenn ein Restaurant zu Hause (London) einen Kartenautomaten hätte, der nicht funktioniert, würden sie nicht so aggressiv klarstellen, dass dies das Problem des Kunden war und sie sollten nicht hereingekommen wären, wenn sie nicht bar bezahlen könnten. Ich hatte gerade genug, aber ich ging mit dem Gefühl, dass ich nicht wiederkommen würde. Praktisch für die Station Zoo an der Schwebebahn.
Ich war zweimal in diesem Restaurant. Sehr nette Besitzer und frisches Essen. Das Essen ist gut zubereitet und der Wein ist von hohem Niveau. Außerdem haben sie dort genügend Parkplätze.

At noon, directly at the restaurant's opening time I arrived as the first guest and was greeted strangely by a not very friendly waiter. He asked...me what I was doing there. What do you think you want in a restaurant? Eat, of course. He then offered me a rather bad table with a view of the bar, as the other tables were supposedly reserved. Then came the menu where the special dishes offered on the internet were missing. I got the additional menu only after I asked for it. I ordered the dish I wanted and was rather disappointed. The breast of the goose was not what I had imagined. It was obviously not a freshly prepared and oven-fresh dish. The sauce was also not to my liking. After serving the dish, they didn't ask if everything was okay. All in all, I didn't like it at all and I certainly won't come back. It must be mentioned that no other guest came during my stay.

We went with a party of 9 people to this restaurant and I have to say that it looked really nice from the outside but the inside was not very inviting. The tables very very near to each other and there was not much room...and it was very loud as it was very busy. The food we ordered was very average and the salad was awful it was bitter and the dressing tasted of nothing but plain yoghurt. The staff were very very busy and always in a rush which made us feel slightly uncomfortable. However the prices were very reasonable but I do not think that we will go there again in the future.
They had cleared out all the rural tat since my previous visit, making for a much cleaner, brighter room. They have kept the cowshed part of the name, though. I had a good tomato soup, and a tasty selection of medallions served up in a...pan with a mushroom sauce that seemed mostly to consist of mushrooms and cream. I washed it down with some samples from their beer list (which included a nice draught Kolsch). The service was fine. It may be a cultural thing, but if a restaurant back at home (London) had a card machine that was not working, they would not be so aggressive in making it clear that this was the customer 's problem and they should not have come in if they could not pay in cash. I had enough, just, but I left feeling unlikely to return. Handy for the Zoo station on the Schwebebahn.
