Der Aufstieg lohnt sich. Ziemlich teuer, allerdings ~35€ Seilbahnticket. Vom Restaurant aus hat man einen tollen Ausblick auf die Wildspitze. Man kann sogar Leute beim Aufstieg sehen. Das Café bietet wunderschöne Kuchen und guten Kaffee. Darüber hinaus begrenzte Speisekarte.
Freundlicher Service, Preise sind moderat und das alles bei hervorragender Rundumsicht. Der Ansturm auf diesen Aussichtspunkt ist enorm und ebenso wertvoll.
One can't skip a short visit to cafe 3.440 when visiting Pitztaler Glacier. Located between the cable car station and the panorama deck you will surely stop by for a warm drink or a cake during your visit. I like the modern design of the place, the panoramic windows that allow you enjoy the breathtaking scenery around it. Of course, we also had coffee and the traditional apple pie during our visit. Service is prompt, staff is kind, everything is just as it should be.
We visited this cafe during a day with blue sky and zero wind. The personel were very pleasant and service minded. We ate one cake each of different kinds and they were very good. Espresso had high quality. I would have liked to sit here for hours with a bottle of wine and a book. They do have a breakfast meny which you must preorder, I would have loved to try that!

Einen Stopp wert. Die Aussicht ist toll und das Personal freundlich. Etwas teuer - aber das erwartet man ja auch.
Nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal. Die Lokation ist toll mit einem herrlichen Panoramablick. Geht man noch auf die Aussichtsplatform, wird man dafür belohnt!
Drive to the base of the ''Undermountain train'' was just scenic, you will love it, the whole area was just beautiful. Free and plenty of parking was available. Undermountain train has a fixed schedule so better check it upfront in order to avoid unnecessary waiting. It will take you to the first station (plenty of space to walk around, water reservoir, close to glacier etc.) and there by using a cable car you will reach the Cafe 3440. The scenary around was mesmerizing with mountains covered in snow and glacier ice. There was still soft snow present at the top and offered great fun for children. Cafe is also very nice and clean with very friendly staff. We tried different cakes and coffee from them, quality was really good and price was acceptable at that altitude. Best we liked was the cheese cake.
