We only ate the breakfast so I can't speak to the menu items. The breakfast buffet wasn't bad though.
Excellent Restaurant. Super good service. Ladies in the restaurant are super busy. But they give personal attention very well with every single customer. Food is also really really great
I came here twice, once for lunch and another time for dinner.Excellent beef and vegetable soup. The smell of the chicken was great. The mushroomSauce for he steak was top class.Some reviews commented about the old furniture. I would say it is nostalgic with American pop music from the 70s.Would eat here again if I come by Tasch.
As I was expecting to come on a late plane for Zermatt, I decided to stay in Tasch which is a few minutes away by train. I stayed at the Hotel Tascherhof and the evening meal was very good.The dinner consisted of a good salad and a speciality of the house being a very filling rosti with trimmings such as egg and bacon.All the food was very good and dinner was under 35 Swiss Francs...and excellent value for money as I also had a large beer
We were in 8 (four kids and four adults) and could find a very comfortable and cozy environment for all. We ordered individual raclette and fondues. Everything was perfect. The service was also a nice surprise. Luja (the waitress) is very gentle, happy and efficient. It was an excellent experience for all.
The place is quite dated - 1970's? Decor is throughout fairly dire.But who cares? The staff are really nice, very helpful and friendly; the location (right beside the train to Zermatt) excellent, the skiroom access to he station brilliant as is the free parking.We loved the restaurant! It's not fancy but the food and wine are great, service great and it is really good value. They'll cook you what you want! We were fed up with stodgy starchy stuff by the time we got there and they happily substituted pasta/potatoes with absolutely fantastically well cooked and varied vegetables. Pak Choi, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, heritage carrots. brilliant.Why stay in Zermatt when you can stay here? It takes about 20 minutes to get to the centre of Zermatt and must be easier to access the slopes than the far flung parts of Zermatt itself. This place is a gem. And the internet works.
Hotel Tascherhof was a great find within the small town of Tasch. We had the Tascher Rosti
The rosti was excellent and the atmosphere was cosy on a chilly night. This hotel is located right next to the Zermat shuttle train station and has a reasonable hourly paid underground parking lot.
