Excellent food and an absolutely stunning location right on Lake Thun. Bus stop right at the roadside and plenty of parking if you have a car or even a coach/bus! Highly recommended and very nice staff.
We arrived just before the daytime /evening menu change as did a few table around us.The waiter seemed a bit put out that we had 1 child with us ( he had dressed for dinner ) all around us were given evening menus when I asked ( in German ) for a menu I was told it wasn't available yet.we ordered drinks and waited.Every single table around us was served first .One if my older sons wanted to try the perch dish at this restaurant as it had bee. Recommended or we would have left .Eventually we were served and the food arrived in good time , it was well presented and tasted delicious. We had been to this restaurant a number of times during the day when at the beach and also used the boating /boarding shop here.Its also on the route for the lake boats so we had stopped for coffee every other time the service had been excellent .However we wouldn't return in the the evening due to the poor service that we received and witnessed to other fluent non native speakers.
As many people before me wrote: service at this place is awful. Staff, one woman at least, was rude and clearly had no passion for her job. Food (breakfast buffet) was okay. Location directly at the lake is beautiful though. Real pitty the service is that bad. Not recommendable.
Rösti unessbar: Kartoffelgeschlabber. Klabsgeschnetzeltes: Fertigsosse mit schlecht angebratenem Kalbfleisch.Eine grösserer Enttäuschung schon langen nicht mehr erlebt. Das Restaurant war an besagtem Abend nicht gross besetzt und trotzdem kam aus der Küche ein Hauptgericht das so unakzeptabel ist.Servis sehr sehr nett und verständnisvoll (würde dieses Gericht wohl auch nicht verzehren wollen :-))
Location, fantastic.. Food , Excellent; combine it with deliberate and focussed poor service, and you are sure that you will leave with a really bad taste in your mouth ( pun intended!) .We have travelled around Europe and weathered many poor service.. but .. in Neuhaus, somehow we were made to believe that we should know that we are unwelcome.. and that too for no reason at all! What contrasted was the service was partial to all who were Swiss. Anyone not Swiss and it looks like they literally hated .. sad commentary for a beautiful place
Man kann sich diesen unglaublich schlechten und unfreundlichen Service nur damit erklären, dass man hier absolut sicher sein will, dass Kunden nur einmal kommen.Der Service war so unglaublich, dass ich schon fast empfehle sich dieses Erlebnis mal anzutun. Langsam, aggressiv, pampig
Lage und Essen Top! Bedienung ist verbesserungsfähig.Unsere Tischreservation hat nicht geklappt. Das kann passiere. Wir wurden dann aber nicht unterstützt um einen neuen Tisch zu finden. Fanden einen, der noch ungedeckt war. Halbpatzig wurde dieser dann gedeckt. Bedienung wirkte sehr gestresst und wahr nicht wirklich aufmerksam. SchadeDie Lage und das feine Essen stimmt einem versöhnlich!
Das Essen, besonders das Fischmenu war nicht gut. Anstelle der Eglis gab es anderen Fisch ohne uns zu informieren. Für ein Restaurant direkt am See haben wir viel mehr erwartet. Das Dessert war ok. Ich würde da nicht mehr essen, höchstens ein Apero einnehmen, wegen der Lokalität.
