Came for breakfast but regretted. Poor service, obsolescent environment, a bit pricey, not tourist friendly

Lovely spot for breakfast. Very quiet in the morning with some locals reading newspapers. The lady at the cafe was nice and was able to communicate in English. They unfortunately only take cash.

possibly the unfriendliest service ever, lol. it was a quick stop for coffee and tea.. but maybe lady in charge wasn't happy to have us.. i dont know. we have some drinks but nothing too great. interior was very lovely i must say.. and its a great place to just sit around and chill after a long day.

I had a yummy wiener schnitzel there. Staff pleasant and helpful, patient with those of us with limited German.

The Ministerium was the place we decided to try out Vienna Coffeehouse experience. The traditional setting and the decor was good. It was a change from the usual starbucks. However, the service and waitresses were not customer centric and friendly at all. The quality of service ruined the evening for us.

The Ministerium was host to our Vienna Coffeehouse experience. The traditional setting set the stage for this traditional coffeehouse and our experience. Such a comforting feeling versus Starbucks! Thanks for hosting our event and making the evening memorable.

We went here for a coffee but had a very unpleasant experience. The interior is nice and takes you back to older times. However, it seems like the waitress doesn't like tourists who don't speak German. It was not crowded when we came but she still managed to ignore us for around 5 minutes. You could then see that she was really annoyed that we could not speak German and it continued that way. Very unpleasant. We would not recommend to come as a tourist, maybe it's a different experience for native Viennese folks.

I've been here twice - and the first time was very good (for a reading, with a very nice atmosphere). It's really a beautiful café. But the second time, the service was so unfriendly that I wouldn't go back there. I went for breakfast and needed to connect to the internet urgently. For some reason it didn't work at first (though it did later) so I asked the waitress if I has selected the right WLAN connection. She just shrugged her shoulders and walked off.
