Our must multiply stop every time we come back in Lugano! We feel at home here surrounded by smiling people and soul kitchen. You can't miss to taste the delicious genuine food of this warmly family Resturant. You will be delight by the taste of the many simply authentic food from the south of Italy. In the pictures you could see Rita's (the mum) Parmigiana made it on the moment, the great Naples Pizza by Gaetano (the son), the soft and crispy "fritto misto" one of my son's favourite but there are so many more dish and also great fish and meat dish (I'm vegetarian but my husband and sons eat all). Enjoy it
Just up the street from my hotel, this place has great service and a solid menu.Even with Swiss Harley Days going on, the place was uncrowded early, but by 9-ish was filling up with families and large groups of friends, seemingly local. Plenty of good stuff on the menu, and excellent service. I had the Pizza St. Louis (don't see it on the online menu) and it was excellent. Great, friendly service. And English speaking for when the negronis take you from "falsely confident Italian" to "itanglish".
You won't easily find a place in Lugano which makes you feel part of the family!They may forget to bring you a dish, but after few months they still remember you, what you like to eat and are there for you.Worth to try the calzone fritto, which is a south italian specialty you won't find easily around.They are well knows for their fish dishes, but I'm more of a pizza person - and they sure make a good one.The location is not so good, but the food makes it up for it.If you are around, try it. It won't disappoint you.Marco
Had finally the chance to eat the pizza at New Saint Louis. Indeed delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Will be back.
Best pizza in town!!! Every time we want to eat a good and tasty pizza we go here, since we discovered the place. Each single time the pizzaiolo puts some fresh ingredients that make the dish unique and really yummy!!!
With a rating of 4 1/2 we were surprised to find a not very pretty location, a small Menu and no flexibility with the order. We could not even get steamed potatoes instead of baked potatoes. The orders came 5 minutes apart and the medium stake was raw what could only be solved by asking three times to put it back in the pan again. The mixed salad was as sad of a presentation as it could be and the Gnochi brought up some chewing gum memories. The 2 points are only for the pizza that was quite good and at a fair prize of 18, CHF.
