It is the only place to hang out and have a beed in Widnau. They have good sandwishes. The atmosphere is nice, and stuff is friendly. The only downside that the restaurant is directly on the border between Austria and Switzerland, and if you cross the border you can easily drink and eat for half the price.
Our family of four ate lunch there on a weekday. English menus were provided. Wait staff was helpful and timely. We all ordered sandwiches which had good taste and large portions. Total bill including drinks and a small tip totaled $100 USD. We gave a rating of four because of the cost.
they are know for their baked baguettes (Seele) and they are yummy. love the beer garden in the summer. great place to swing by after work for a drink or even on your bike. it is located just at the border of Austria/Switzerland and right off the bike path. they also showed some soccer matches on a big screen during the world cup which was cool
Simple but very original place with a diverse crowd. Whether you like just reading there, enjoy the music or like to play Billard - this is the place to go to. Very friendly staff. They maintain a smoker's-area and run a bar (with heaters) outside too.
many vegan options for eating and drinks. fresh and delicious. cozy ambiente! perfect for coffee-stops during their bike tour or after a walk along the rhine. try it!
you would not expect so many vegan options in such a traditional restaurant. their signature court is a hot sandwich that is a local speciality, in many variants. but their falafel and green bowl are also a good option. everything is clearly marked, certainly worth a try.
Great place to hang out and lunch with friends. Vegi Soul is deliciously recommended for large groups as they have plenty of space on the terrace.
That evening when the restaurant was closed at my hotel. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere with excellent service. I had a burger who was very good, like the wine. The sandwiches looked very tempting when massive. Not a huge menu, but perfect enough. I would (and probably) return.
