We visited Vienna during the Central European heatwave in August 2017, so we found Sparky's while on he hunt for some shade. We were able to sit outside fully shaded and watch the world melting as we ate lunch. The serving staff had a particular knack of making each in coming guest feel very welcome and almost as though they were a regular.The menu was well balanced with enough choices without be silly and the price of both meals and drinks was fair, considering it was right in the middle of one of Europe's top 10 cities. The service was efficient but not so quick it was rushed and the food was very good. Our 15 year old daughter actually commented that her cheese burger was one of the best burgers she had ever had!All in all, it's a nice little place in a good location reasonably priced and friendly.
My elder mother, sister and myself were waiting for the taxi on the street when suddenly a terrible storm began. We tried to hide inside the pub. Unfortunately the driver was not able to find us another 10 minutes. The waitress said that we must order drinks or go outside the street. We went outside the street and get completely wet. The waiter in the next restaurant proposed us to wait the taxi inside.
We liked this place and sat in the non smoking area at the back. My weiner schnitzel was large and OK and my wife's California sale was tasty but with runny dressing! Service was fast and friendly with English well understood and spoken. It isn't high cuisine but we liked it..and the Austrian red wine too!
Mediocre food and service. Definition of a tourist trap. Food came fast, way to fast to have been made to order, I imagine a pot of beef in the kitchen waiting for someone to order boiled beef.
A very lively bar with good service, good beer and also good cup of tea! Food was quickly served and hit the spot when we were hungry. Wednesday night was especially busy with youngsters
Nice restaurant near the Stephansdom. The food was ok. The service as well. I had the honey bbq ribs and they where not my taste. The wedges where really fat and I would not order the same food again.
Just round the corner from Stepanslatz. Good value for money food and the place was full of people of mixed ages that created a really good atmosphere
Had my office around the corner for several years and came back recently for lunch with a friend. Food was still very good, the ambience is quite special. Good value!
