Coke is 5-7 CHF. Be prepared for the cost if you drink alcohol with a Coke (or pop) mixer. In Europe they typically charge for the alcohol and the pop separately but you do get the bottle of Coke. The food was wonderful, no complaints at all. Good sized portions, came out hot, fresh and presented nicely. Wait staff was very busy but still served well. Ordered a cheese pasta dish with ham and onion, it was wonderful!
Gotthard 1900 is across from the main train station. They have nice sidewalk seating on the Marktgasse. Inside, there is a mix of bar stools, high tables and stools, and a few padded seats at the back. The atmosphere is interesting as it has a minimum of eight TV’s and ceiling fans around the room. They serve hot/cold beverages, a full range of cocktails, hot meals all day as well as daily and weekly specials. I ordered a nice, cold tap beer (4.90CHF). The place is definitely a spot one should check out at least once. The down side though is the condition of the restroom. I have seen highway restrooms in better shape. One of the urinals was defective and causing the entire restroom to stink. The restroom furnishings in general reminded me of mass produced, cheap, metal and industrial looking workmanship and nothing I would have expected to see at a business. Go for the drinks as I did not try any of the food.
Gothard is ALWAYS there for you.......never close!!! something VERY RARE in Switzerland!!!! In these cold winter nights when your train just left you have GOTHARD to comfort you with fine snacks and drinks!!!
Aufgrund seiner ungezwungenen Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien in der Nähe des Bahnhofs haben wir (ein Freund von mir und ich) diesen Ort für einen Drink ausgewählt. Wir entschieden uns für einen Gin Tonic, der nicht auf der Speisekarte stand. Der freundliche junge Kellner, der den ungewöhnlichen Namen „Chasqua“ trägt und uns zwei ältere Männer auf die informelle „Du“-Art ansprach (was uns nichts ausmachte), fragte uns, ob wir bei Hendricks oder bei Bombay essen sollten Sapphire und ich sagten, dass das Letzte reichen würde. Als es mit zwei Zitronenscheiben in jedem Glas ankam, fragte ich, warum es so eine gelbe Farbe habe. Der Kellner antwortete, dass es an einem Tonic von Red Bull liege und fügte hinzu, dass das Getränk speziell für uns stark gemacht worden sei. Es hat auf jeden Fall gut geschmeckt. Der Preis betrug 11 CHF für den Bombay Sapphire und 5 CHF für die Offen Auffüllung (also das hinzugefügte Tonic), also insgesamt 16 CHF pro Person.
Very disappointed for not being allowed to enter this bar.. since were not locals. I with my colleagues and decided to visited cotthard bar on Saturday 24th November 2019, we was not allowed inside due to bar was full (it’s not, we can see through outside . Meanwhile we was waited outside the bar approximately 20 minutes, then 2 couple are allowed to enter. when I asked security guard, why we’re not allowed, he respond was we are not a couple and I understood, that’s fare enough. After 10 minutes, groups of 14 people came and security was allowed them to enter, while very serious argument. I went and asked again this Asian security guy, first he told us it’s a full, second time he said only couple are allowed, then how you let 14 man in. So what we’re brown so what we’re not local, we not going to drink free, we also working in same industry.
Arrived later at Winterthur on Sunday night and looking for some place to have a nice meal. Found this place closed to the train station but the menu is all in German. Talked to the chef and he made shrimp spaghetti off the menu! Taste so good...

Die Portionen hatten eine gute Größe, waren heiß, frisch und schön präsentiert. Das Bedienungspersonal war sehr beschäftigt, bediente aber trotzdem gut. Ich bestellte ein Käse-Nudelgericht mit Schinken und Zwiebeln, es war wunderbar!
