We were seated at the terrace outdoors that was cosy. Had the salmon pasta that was good. My wife was very pleased with the chicken and potato dish she had. Great icecream dessert to finish it off. Service very attentive and friendly. A very recommendable place.
Will come back for more Wiener schnitzel. and for the dessert. Very good and personal service.
Chose this restaurant for the last night of our holiday having passed it a few times and liked the look of the menu. Initial impression was good and we both chose the classic Tiroler grostl, have to say it was probably the best I've ever had with big pieces of succulent meat. We also had a very nice half carafe of Zweigelt to go with it. Sadly there seemed to only be 2 waiting staff on and they were spread thin on the ground and disappeared! In fact we got so fed up of waiting to order desert my wife went looking for the waitress and found her working the bar. Same problem again after desert waiting to order drinks and even to get the bill. So good food but poor service due to a shortage of staff made for a slightly disappointing experience.
I have eaten dinner at this Restaurant many times during my stay in Zell am Zee. It is an authentic Austrian Restaurant servicing a large selection of options on the Menu. It is a must to book a table in advance as you may not get to eat in this Restaurant otherwise. The selection of food on the Menu is excellent and I have never had a bad meal here and neither have my friends. Its decor is typically Austrian. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is warm and comfortable with a special place to hang coats etc. It is one of my favourite restaurants in Zell. I would recommend anyone to try it.
Booked a last minute table for 8 on the last night of our ski trip. Enjoyed the 2 hours of live music outside with some drinks to start before we made our way inside. I had the T Bone Steak, which was cooked to perfection, my friends had steaks and were equally as complimentary. You will need to book, witnessed many diners being turned away as there was no more available bookings. Service was excellent, would definitely recommend.
Our children organised a dinner here , the staff great , food excellent and very good selection of priced dishes.
My partner an I ate here one evening and then on our last evening we were there as a party of 12 for a birthday celebration with my family who we were all on a ski holiday with and the service was superb. My niece is coeliac and they were also able to cater for this without any fuss. The food is lovely and it's a really elegant place without being stuffy so even with 4 kids in tow it wasn't restricting. The staff are very obliging and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great and friendly service for the lady in charge outside. She totally gets non skiers wanting all day après ski:) apéros spritz and gluhwein available from early, good food and super fire basket outside just to catch tired skiers walking down from the lift which is 3 mins away!
