Meine Frau und ich haben unser Essen im Virtu genossen. Die Speisekarte war ansprechend und die Zutaten sorgfältig zubereitet und mit sehr guten Aromen. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam und die Atmosphäre angenehm und entspannt. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Zürich kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.
Dieser Ort bietet gute Pizza-Pasta mit freundlichem Service in einem Viertel, in dem es kaum gute Mittagslokale gibt.
Being vegetarians we were skeptical of the choices we may get and the flavor, being used to an Indian palette, there couldn't have been a better place. Fortunately we were staying just a 10 minute leisurely walk, which added to the experience, due to superb weather.Outdoor seating and the gracious host made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone staying near Oerlikon.
A friend told me about this place, its a bit out of the way and not a lot of street traffic but well worth seeking out. The pasta is especially good, homemade and very fresh sauces. Also one time I tired the daily saltimbocca special, this was perfectly prepared and they were flexible to give me a nice pumpkin risotto instead of the normal side. As you can tell I like this place but I haven't even gotten to the best part - they have a partnership with a gourmet cupcake company and have delicious afters. Tiramisu is my favorite but also the apple cinnamon is very good. The staff could not be nicer and speak good English. My only warning would be to come early as they are quite full by noon and its a smaller place.
It was expensive, and the food didn't live up to the billing. Really, though, we were disappointed by the service. We ordered tap water (which is mandatory for every restaurant in Zurich to offer their customers). The lady delivered waters, poured them, and then charged us $5 Swiss Francs each. When I asked after the meal why we weren't permitted to order tap water, our waitress said, "It wasn't clear that you wanted tap water."... Even though we all said, "Tap water." Combined with the underwhelming food, it's this kind of experience that turns you away from a restaurant for good.
It seems they are tring to save money and charge customer as much as possible. Not even you get enough bread for your little Mozzarella Salad!
Went back to this place a couple of months back and was so disappointed. Unfortunately, the Sardinian chef and owner has sold this place to someone else and it has reverted back to the bland Italian place like most other Italian restaurants in Zurich. What a shame! If anyone knows the current whereabouts of the original owners, please do update. This is not worth a visit any longer.
Apart from the very limited and expensive lunch menu, the staff has been total disorganized has not managed to even put out starters after a waiting time of 1 hour. After inquiring with the staff our group has been ignored. Other customers that came to the restaurant 15 later than our group has already been serviced their main, while we were still waiting.From far the plates looked very small not what you would expect for that price.If you want to go for a good pizza, I'd suggest going somewhere else.
