The only place where this place could have got stars is at the astronomical observatory during Black Friday. The view is cute, especially on those sunny days, but considering all the restaurants in town are on the same side of the same street, this...is unlikely to be a big differentiation.. The food choice and quality was pretty “meh” while, guess what, the prices are absolutely up to Swiss expectation. I noticed several reviews blaming on the service. On their defence, the guys looked pretty nice and motivated to me, simply a bit inexperienced and disorganised. All over, room for improvement.
As a restaurateur in England I am instinctively critical and, I think, discerning when judging restaurants. So it gives me pleasure to recommend Adler as a place to visit and enjoy an excellent meal. I was with a party of four (Swiss and English) and...can confirm we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The Adler menu is quite varied but not too extensive which means the chefs can concentrate on producing quality. Service is efficient and polite without being over bearing. It is also pleasing to see Covid mitigation is taken seriously. Please try Adler you will be delighted!
Beautiful restaurant in typical bernese style. We had beef fillet on the hot stone beef was excellent as were the sides and the sauces (bernaise and whiskey/pepper). Wine and drinks were very good. Dessert was again excellent we had belgian waffles and creme...catalane and were extremely happy. Service was very friendly and the price for the dinner was completely reasonable. In summary: we spent a very nice evening at the Adler and ate extremely well.
Wonderful restaurant in the centre of Adelboden. Modern setting. Huge portions, excellent meat and a good choice of wine. Only the soup was a bit too thin in my opinion. While you're finishing your main, the kids play downstairs in the playroom or outdoors on...the central playground. Perfect!
