Our food at the Parkhotel Bellevue restaurant was delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and quite an elegant place to eat. Unfortunately for us, the service was very slow, which was excruciating in that we were exhausted from having hiked all day. We couldn't quite figure out why our (very pleasant) waiter didn't have more staff help nor what he was doing a lot of the time. Even more disconcerting, however, was the beautiful cheese selection located at the salad bar which at no time had fewer than ten flies crawling over it. Yuk! Unbelievable.
The flies were terrible, particularly all over the cheese plate on the buffet and they never covered it. The service was the worst. It took us over 3 hrs. to eat and they were not busy. The wait staff does not help one another. Ours was overwhelmed, had to write everything down, completely disorganized and no one helped him. We were a group of 12 with one waiter trying to serve us. Meanwhile other staff were chit chatting with the few other tables occupied. Or they were setting up for breakfast the next day when they could have waited on us. It was dreadful!!!!
Wir haben unseren Hochzeitstag gefeiert. Der Ort ist perfekt. Es gab Live-Klaviermusik, die uns gefallen hat. Wir hatten Schwierigkeiten, die Speisekarte bei schlechter Beleuchtung ohne Brille zu lesen. Besonders die Weinkarte war sehr klein gedruckt. (Kein Brillenpaar verfügbar - Tipp für das Hotel). Unsere Bedienung war ein wenig unerfahren. Das Buffet mit Tapas-Vorspeisen passte nicht so gut zu den restlichen Gerichten, die wir ausgewählt hatten.
Went to this hotel for dinner as Cambrian restaurant was closed on Sunday. Had a five course meal which was very enjoyable. Cant say price as Cambrian paid for it. The climb up to hotel is quite steep.
