Bergrestaurant Tschenten, Schranz

Tschentenalp is a beautiful and overlooked little ski and tobogganing area. Apart from the ski runs, it has some fun snow shoeing in the right conditions and is the start of two very scenic walks well away from chairlifts. The bergrestaurant has great views and is excellent if you just have a drinks break but don't repeat don't eat here. The service is glacially slow. We were ignored by staff at lunchtime except when a waitress came over to tell us to close a window. When we finally had our order taken, it took nearly an hour for the snacks to arrive and, even then, two peoples meals did not materialise. When this was questioned the chef was insolent. A change of management is desparately needed. Get the lift down and eat at Cafe Haueter cheaper, quicker, better.

Amazing views and a useful place to shelter when the rains came in. At the top of the cable car run this restaurant serves good lunch time open sandwiches with soft drinks attentive service. Can't imagine going up there with an elderly parent unless there was somewhere like this if the weather changed suddenly

Absolute shocking service. Food took over an hour, with no expectation management in the beginning. Food arrived below average, luke warm. Throughly disappointed. Definitely a place that takes advantage of the nice view, so they can slack in the service and food.

The place is clean and has a very nice view towards the valley. We had a simple cheese fondue, which was very good. We could achieve even the formation of the bottom cheese crust, a salty delicious.

The sun was shining, the beer was cold and food was great. Oh, and the view. I know there are lots of views in Switzerland but still...
