This is a very popular venue for local visitors and people who appreciate genuine Viennese cuisine. A menu that preserves the core of what the Viennese would expect on a day / evening out to the Wienerwald, but also regularly changing special additions.- Schnitzel, and wildboar gulasch of course, but also Friday's Knoedeltag, freshwater fish specialities, vegetarian options, salads etc.No matter how many people turn up, there is also room for more, groups or individuals. The service is excellent too, as quick or slow as you wish. Fine local wines or good beer. All ingredients are sourced locally and their provenance listed on the menu.3 generations of the same family have catered for visitors since the 1920s, so they know what people want and need!My family stayed for six nights, so a chance to see people come and go- wedding parties, pilgrims out for the day to visit a local shrine, locals enjoying a summer solstice party on the local mountaintop...Great, friendly atmosphere. The Hairy bikers borrowed Oma's Apfelstrudel for their recipe book when passing through in 2012.
