Attended for dinner and was confused from he moment of entry. Is it a restaurant? Is it a pub? Is it a nightclub? You have to wait to be seated and so you stand there while nobody acknowledges you. And they offer no table service? They have a happy hour, yet a glass of local wine is so overpriced compared to other establishments in town. ($12 for a glass of Bobbie Burns Shiraz....... wow)The music was so unbelievably loud that there was no way we could possibly carry on any sort of conversation over dinner. The staff are VERY young and while that's fantastic, they really do need more training. In particular..... it's ok to smile and please don't pass me my drink by touching the rim of my wine glass. That's what the stem is for. This review may seem harsh but when You pay $35.00 for a steak with chips and salad and your bill for yourself and your partner comes to just under $150 for what is essentially a counter meal, I think a better standard of service should be offered. Either that, or drop your prices to a more appropriate level for what it is you are offering. Wouldn't return, nor would I recommend.
The renovation looks great and sharp. Very nicely arranged and well spaced so you aren't sitting on top of people. It was a good selection of seating options( tables/ booths and stools) The food its self was great and the Gnocchi and burger were raved about.The fault was we all had one course to be delivered at once and this was spread over a 10-15min period which is pretty poor when there is only 7 people on the table The overall experience was let down but the lack of experience in the staff who seemed to be tripping over themselves or poorly trained. My biggest hate in service and which I consider extremely rude is when I received my meal last so I was still eating and they had literally cleared everything off the table around me.Train your staff or get new ones if they don't know how to wait on tables properly. For this reason I will not return.
My meal of flathead, chips and salad was a little dry and the fish was very thin and only three quite small pieces. The chips and salad were nice. The rest of our table had the burger, steak, chicken balls & pizza which they enjoyed. The service was great and it is lovely to be greeted by smiling faces and staff who are happy to help.
Had a dinner and was looking forward to this newly renovated restaurant. The food was ok we had the beetroot and sweet potato chips which were soggy and the lamb and feta pizza was lacking flavour. Staff were lovely and helpful. I prefer table service to be able to tip, engage with staff and order more drinks, dessert etc.
