Had Lunch there with my elderly parents (2 23 16). The place is a traditional German restaurant in terms of food and decor. The tables were covered in white linens, with cloth napkins and good silverware. The servers were very professional and accommodating. The food is traditional German Cuisine: not too heavy and they have quite a few fish and vegetarian options on the menu. Everything we ordered was very tasty and fairly priced. My 'Jaegerschnitzel ' was done just right. All of our meals included a tasty side salad. Since Bad Neuenahr is home to quite a few retirees senior citizens, this restaurant (like many others in the city) have adjusted their menu pricing to accommodate seniors who do not eat as large of a portion. I think that is a nice touch. Even my parents ' so called 'senior portions ' were quite plentiful. I would suggest to make a reservation (even for lunch). We walked in without a reservation and despite the fact that there were several open tables without reservation cards on them, it took them a while before we were seated. It 's a nice place for a leisurely lunch and a little more upscale. Also, they have outdoor seating weather permitting
I had an hour to kill, and since this restaurant was around the corner, I tried. It is a typical German restaurant, they had a wide selection of dishes. I wasn't so hungry, so I choose a salad with beef strips. The salad tasted fresh and the meat was good, the salad dressing was the one that each brewhouse used. I drank a cyclist to eat, it could have been a little sweater. I sat on the terrace because the weather was nice. It was a good place. I looked at the desserts, but there was nothing I really had tied up so I didn't order anything. It is a solid 3 stars
Here a few times. It is a traditional German shrub. Heavy on pork, avoid expensive main dishes. Well done. Unpredictable service, but all right. The premises are quite large, but in bad weather we found that the main part of the restaurant filled up and delays were directed to an upper part; first they must have felt more in the atmosphere, but as more people join them, I assume it has become better for them.
Nice place for a cozy meal. We arrived late and were very happy to let you sit quickly. The place is beautifully made in traditional Bavarian decor and offers traditional Bavarian dishes. The food we ordered was delicious along with good fast service and reasonable prices.
