we stayed at the arosa hotel and booked the dunes around (what I really recommend). in our 2nd night we went to the restaurant twist des hotel valsana. we had a great evening meal there, an interesting and delicious application on a swept with shrub noodles included.

great eating, both choice and quality. super friendly staff, view from the terrace, and the overall design add it.

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, offers a variety of foods also including vegetarian and vegan options. Portions are rather small and prices rather high. We also appreciated the wine list. Food/Wine: 4* Although the staff was very friendly and helpful, service was rather slow and quite some of has waited in front of empty glasses. Service: 3* Unfortunately we had an ugly experience in the restaurant and afterwards (how it was dealt with in the process). One of the couples being with us (we were a company of 8) hat a 2month old toddler with them. We managed to keep him quiet over the whole dinner. At the very end we were told by staff that other guests complained as the mother was humming to the kid as however those guests were already gone, we couldn't do much but leave with a bad aftertaste. We afterwards contacted the restaurant to frankly tell them that the info at that point in time was uncalled for and suggested sending a little note to the newly born parents After following up, we got an apology from management, which however was missing our points, I didn't have the impression that our mail really mattered (maybe they were busy with the crisis, but by now there would have been plenty of quiet time to follow up on customer relations). Customer Service: 0* It's a nice restaurant and an option to go, but definitely not something I would become a regular and I would NEVER again encourage friends to bring their kids.

We had a big (ish) group dinner there, with a 3-course menu. Nothing special starter, that was a small salad bowl with various spits served on a common dish; a (pre agreed) choice of beef mash or zoodles, and a simple dessert of chocolate... Cake with a sorbet selection. These are also all standard menu elements. Well, this simple menu took almost THREE HOURS, which is quite extreme, also for a group of this size taking into account that it before the point, even know who's using the veggie option, that must have been a joke. Essen: On average, the starter salad is a very strange tasting. The main dish of a non-descript roast beef slice on liquid y and quite tasteless potatoes, some jus and about 4 pieces asparagus was meh and came lukewarm (but on strangely hot plates) more than 2 hours into the meal. The dessert was 2 small pieces of equally undescribed but strangely hard 'chocolate cake', with 3 small piles of different colored sorbets that could come from a non-brand box from any supermarket. This took almost one more hour to record and serve. Service: They stretched it in infinity and just scraped the wine (obvily it must be an enormous sign on it) I was positively frustrated when she went 2 3 times before EACH course to press more and keep glasses filled. I mean, come on! Pushing wine makes NOT for ultra slow cuisine and mediocre food. People come here to eat, not get drunk. The worst thing was that the coffee BEFORE served dessert, who even ate once in life knows that this is nothing. Again, obvious to the guests busy and buy the kitchen more time... After the coffee was served, another 15 20 minutes pass and the dessert comes, and after the plates were taken AGAIN comes the waitress to fill the glasses with wine. At that time the group was finished and couldn't wait to get out. The disappointment as the first experience was fine with even larger groups a few years back. I doubt we'll book here again.

Great quality of food in a really beautiful ambience. The variety of the menu is not huge, but offers something for most flavors. Starter was best, main was very good. Desserts were not so convincing. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Arosa.
